Sticky Chikky — Restaurant in Canyon

Tonight was my first time trying this place and wasn't even on my agenda but I was delivering a doordash to someone out in strawberry Fields and decided to stop on my way back into town. It was really the Mama Jean's sweet tea that grabbed my attention. When I got to the drive-thru window I had an amazing customer service experience.

The young girl working the window tonight I wish I would have got her name but I didn't she greeted me with a friendly greeting and then when I told her that it was my first time she proceeded to hand me a menu and let me take my time. She offered suggestions and we ended up going with the number two which was two legs and two large scoops of sticky rice.

We also tried the Dr pepper with vanilla cream I tried the diet coke with vanilla cream and my daughter got Mama Jean's sweet tea with vanilla cream and we fell in love. And the chocolate chip cookies were great. They weren't too rich and they weren't too chocolatey like some chocolate chip cookies are it had the perfect texture and chocolate to give you a cookie taste without being too sweet.

We’re from out of town and saw an ad on Facebook of Sticky Chikky and we decided to give it a try.

When we pulled up they had a line at the drive thru, but the lines were moving pretty quickly. It was our turn next and the employee handed us their menu. She was very attentive with extremely great customer service.

We got the #4 BIG BUBBA MEAL 4 chicken legs and huge scoops of sticky rice. The chicken had so much flavor that it reminded me of a home cooked meal. The sticky rice was enhanced with the hot sauce they give you (I recommend more sauces cause it’s so good!). They were not sheisty at all with the food portions.

To top it off we had the chocolate chip cookie and I loved how I bit into the cookie you could taste all the deliciousness. The chocolate chip cookie was not extremely sweet but just right. The crispy edges of the cookie was so good. That was the cherry on top with this meal. My only problem is why don’t we have a Sticky Chikky in Lubbock 😂

The food is amazing! The chicken is cooked perfectly with great flavor, the rice is great for dipping, and the sauce selection is amazing.

The hot sauce is very good but also spicy enough to make my stomach hurt. Unfortunately for me, it's so good I kept eating it anyway. Definitely add the lime to it. My favorite is the fish sauce. Sounds gross, doesn't smell great, but tastes amazing.

They have various sodas to choose from that you can add vanilla cream to. It makes the rootbeer a delight. Pair that with a fresh baked cookie and you are in Heaven.

The workers are very friendly and want to get you what you want and will help find the right sauce for you. You typically get two pieces of chicken per meal but they told me that the sizes were running a bit small that day and gave me an extra piece. It was awesome.

One of the best things about this food is that it reheats very well. I left it in the container keeping the lid slightly closed and it microwaved just fine.
