This evening we dined at The Crow’s Nest and ordered Mac N Cheese dip $9.95, Steak Nachos $15.95 and Shrimp Tacos $19.95. The Mac n Cheese dip is very very good and was probably our favorite of the three items ordered. The Steak Nachos were sizable and good to share. The steak was cut in small bites and plentiful throughout the nachos. Very tasty. The Shrimp tacos came with two tacos (we chose grilled shrimp) and chose a side of red beans and rice. The beans were pretty good but the rice was a little light on flavor. The Shrimp tacos were good but we would probably choose another item on the menu next time. Service was friendly and just right. We were greeted by Cam at the Host stand and he also delivered our food. Our server was Odalys. Both Cam and Odalys were friendly and we really liked them both as they made us feel very comfortable. This was our second time dining at The Crows Nest and we enjoy it.

We had great service from Amanda and Chas! They were both very friendly and added to the dinner experience. The Food was great, the Grouper sandwich was delicious! The carrot cake was moist and very tasty. What we really missed was the entertainment. We've come to Captiva for Christmas for many years and loved coming to what used to be called the Crow's Nest (now the Shipyard) with the family for dinner and to watch the evening entertainment. We were very disappointed to learn that entertainment isn't available anymore. It's too bad that this wasn't considered when the 2nd floor addition was designed. The Galtin Christmas shows at 'Tween Waters are one of our favorite Captiva memories! I hope that they can get this changed in the future! We also miss the crackle of the old stone fireplace.

We stopped in for dinner and while waiting have a drink before dining..The service was friendly but the cost for just 1 small drink and a shot will break your bank as well as it wasn't a strong drink... but that's being on a vacation, fun to have a drink before dinner I suppose, but I'd recommend you buy your own and get more for the money, in other words have a drink before you go out..and heads up (Grogs "south of Sanibel" is a awesome liquor shop and affordable.) so my recommendations is drink before you dine..otherwise enjoy ..the restaurant is comfortable and serves a nice meal... I'd go back, but recommend you dine either early before the crowd, or later when it's not so hectic.

Great food....good value, quality and portions. Terrible bartender. Literally ignored us after taking our food & drink order and there were only 3 couples in the entire bar. The next time she came back was an hour later to drop off the bill (without us asking for it) and without even saying a word, literally about an hour later. We had stacked up all of our plates in a pile. Both drinks (the only ones we got) were completely empty.....they sat there so long that there wasn't even a single ice cube left in the glass. I've never seen anything like it. And when she left the check and walked away (leaving the PILE of plates, napkins and completely empty glasses) I said, "Ma'am...is this our check?....Are you not even gonna ASK us if we want another drink??? Or bus a plate, or ANYTHING??? Did we do something to piss you off?" Her reply was, "Well there was a lot of food on your plates." which I still don't understand....how was that a reason? We ate about 2/3rds of each plate, but they were big portions. And the plates are stacked up with napkins laying on them. She never even checked to see if the food was right/good/cooked correctly. Nothing. Oh, and apps and entrees came out all at the same time, and were brought out by a food runner. But if you get a bartender or server who isn't brain dead, the food is really good. Great quality, taste, and unique items and combinations. I was really impressed with the chefs creations, and we were just ordering off the bar-restaurant menu. I noticed when we left that the other couple closest to us had been ignored as well, and had completely empty...

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Ashley was our waitress and is funny, an absolute gem. All the wait staff was upbeat and cheerful. The view of the beach at sunset was beautiful. Cocktails to start, great, not too sweet and well made. Food was Incredible! I tried the shrimp tacos - smoked jalapeño aiolo was delicious. My husband tried the rib eye and gave it a thumbs up. Ribeye was served with mashed potatoes and greens, which today was a perfectly done mix of zucchini, summer squash, carrots, and broccoli. Yuuum. For dessert, Ashley recommended the chocolate banana bread pudding served with butter pecan ice cream. I should've listened to her but ordered the homemade key lime pie instead. The pie (while tasty, took 1 bite) was happily boxed and taken home for tomorrow because the chocolate banana bread pudding was Incredible! No pictures were taken, sadly. We enjoyed our evening too much to stop and...
