Former Employer... Hello everyone yes the food is great and service is okay... This is my facts about the owners who care nothing but weighing down there own pockets... I was recently hired 3 weeks ago. Working as a server of course this past week I was in the hospital with an infection in my pelvis that I received after an unfortunate miscarriage... The day I went back to work which was a Saturday 8.26.17 I was there early in the morning as early as I usually am and starting my shift I was talked to rudely by a STAR COOK that's been there almost a year mind you I knew him from former altercations at my previous job... That he blatantly had no respect for the people who just mopped and whem asked multiple times if he could step around said I get paid to mop. I brought this to the managers attention when approached mind you in front of the STAR COOK and head cook I was pinned against the wall as if my accusations we're false. Then I was apologize to by the head cook stating she did not hear me..... Then last week the morning server I served with went home early so thinking all is fair in rest business maybe I could go early if we weren't busy out of consideration I'm still healing could have taken off longer but I needed to work. So then at the end of my shift after filling sauces and filling butter and the ice racks and considerably asking both server and management Pam if there was anything else I could do before I left they BOTH SAID NO.... So then being told to call for my schedule today I called and was not told to my face or in person that it was not working out all because I had an altercation with the STAR COOK and because I did not do side work which was a lie.... These seem to be kind people but in actuality they do not care maybe biased because I'm a bigger woman who knows but I thought I should get this out there cause I'm tired of feeling like I am the bad guy when I did not do a thing wrong with out asking or making sure my job was fulfilled and now put out of work once again with no consideration towards my bills or my future with the company or forewarnings to prevent further inconveniences and 00000 Chances to improve... Thank you for reading I don't deny they have good food but when eating ask if they is gloves to cook with cause I've seen there nails and they do not use gloves...

Great lunch, worth a pleasant drive to get there. We drove up from Roswell with my in-laws on their last day in town. My parents drive up several times a year just for lunch and recommended it. The food was not only delicious but plentiful - portion sizes were generous. The fried green chili strips are a must-have. The whole table enjoyed them. I had the chicken fried steak with grilled veggies, mashed potatoes, and cream gravy. It was $11 and I took half of it home. It did not disappoint! The grilled veggies were very flavorful and the toast was thick and tasty. My husband and father-in-law each had the brisket quesadilla and happily finished their plates. The candied jalapeños were a nice touch. My mother-in-law enjoyed her Oso Burger. It was massive and she had lots of fries left over. Their pecan pie and several flavors of ice cream seemed to be very popular but we were so full from lunch we didn’t have room for any. The staff is very friendly and their cheery attitudes seemed to extend to the customers as well. They were all, staff and customers, very patient with our rambunctious toddler running all over the place after being cooped up for the drive up. It was obvious that locals were there enjoying their favorite restaurant and lots of visitors stopped in for a great meal as well. The restaurant is clean and tidy with a touch of historic flavor thanks to the building’s age. The restrooms are clean, spacious, and decorated with some fun touches. The drive in from out of town is scenic and enjoyable. We will definitely bring visitors here in the future and look forward to another...

Went here for lunch before going to the Smokey Bear Museum right across the street. We walked in and seated ourselves. Restaurant was busy but not packed when we walked in.

Our waitress came over to us and asked if we had ever been here before. We told her this was our first time and she explained to us that everything is made in house by scratch. She even pointed out a few local favorites.

We ordered the Chipotle chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and the Oso burrito that came with fresh salsa and Chipotle ranch, no side.

We didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks were refilled before they became empty. The food tasted fresh and homemade. The flavors were just right and the burrito was one of the best we have had in NM. Also ordered the lava cake for dessert. The cake melted in your mouth and the ice cream was homemade and had amazing flavor.

Overall, the restaurant was clean and an inviting atmosphere. Restrooms were very clean. The staff was amazing and friendly. Our waitress even offered us her cheater glasses to read the menu. This is a must stop if you are in the area or passing through. Prices were decent as well. We will be going back here when we travel...

Oso Grill was a recommendation from my dad who RVs in the mountains and he was not wrong. The place currently had a smaller houra open window due to less help (like everywhere these days) so there was a little bit of a line at the door. While we waited we took in the small room and the decorations were great, stylish and fun. (Pictures of the great women's room included) Tables aren't too close together which was a comfort in these covid times. So the food... Food was amazing! I got the famous burger that comes with the battered chili, son got a cheeseburger off the kid's menu and husband got a reuben with a side salad. Everything was great... I was worried that a reuben in NM might be suspect, but husband chowed down. I'm always cautious to not oversell a place for fear it gets overhyped... not worried here. Thanks Oso Grill for ending a great day trip to Capitan while on a stay in the mountains!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️If I could give more than 5 stars, I would, so I gave 10. We ordered the fried green chile strips for an appetizer. Both the chile and breading were great. I ordered a green chile hamburger with fries, and it was not only beautifully presented, it tasted like perfection. The best green chile burger and fries of my long life in New Mexico. No wonder Oso Grill won the green chile burger competition at the State Fair. The service was phenomenal. Not once did our large table of people have to ask for a refill or for anything. Our server was top-notch, always making sure we had everything we needed. I definitely recommend and will definitely return.
