Burger Boy — Restaurant in Caribou

I very rarely leave negative reviews, however my visit to Burger Boy today was so upsetting that I have no other choice. My husband and I are in from out of town visiting family and took our 2 and 5 year old grandbabies to have lunch at Burger Boy. Although the restaurant was empty, the girl at the counter did not greet us and appeared to be impatient as I read the kid's menu to the children and helped them to decide what they wanted. This took about 2-3 minutes and again, let me stress that we were the only people in the restaurant. However, things took a turn for the worse when I asked what was in the scallop sandwich. Our hostess rolled her eyes at me and looked back at the cook very clearly communicating that she thought I was an idiot. At that point, we should have cut our losses and left. However, my husband and I are educators, parents and grandparents and although not pleased with the disrespect, let it slide. Since the hostess did not explain what was in the scallop sandwich, I ordered a cheeseburger. As we were placing our order, Alexis' attitude did not improve. At that point, the teacher in me surfaced and I asked her quietly and firmly to change her attitude. Although she attempted to argue, I repeated myself and then my husband and I completed placing our order which included a couple of lemonades. However when my husband brought our food to the table, we realized that we were missing our drinks. My husband returned to the counter and since our drinks were not on the receipt, paid for them. He then proceeded to wait and then wait some more for our lemonades. When he finally returned to the table, the children and I were almost finished with our meals. Unfortunately, one of our lemonades was an orangey pink color . My husband returned to the counter where it was determined that the container used to prepare the lemonade had been previously used to prepare another drink. When my husband finally returned to our table, we were finished eating and his food was cold. Since we only see our grandchildren for one week every year, every moment is treasured. As we were leaving, we told the shift manager that we would be writing a negative review on Google because our experience had been so awful. This would have been a perfect opportunity for the shift manager to do some damage control. She could have perhaps offered our 2 grandbabies an ice cream since they were asking us to buy it for them. We had already shelled out $35 bucks and we were not prepared to give Burger Boy another cent. Not surprisingly, the shift manager did not offer us anything other than a feeble apology. We have always found Mainers to be respectful, kind and gracious. However, today it became very clear that Burger Boy does not place a high value on providing good customer service. We took our little ones down the road to Goughans for ice cream where we were treated with kindness and respect. It is our sincere desire that the owner of Burger Boy will use this review...

Just ate here after many years, was not disappointed. I did call ahead to place my order, the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The price was reasonable for two burgers and a poutine, I would've paid roughly the same at McDonald's or Burger King for food that wasn't as fresh or tasty. The restaurant is done in 50's style decor that is well kept and clean. I believe that they sometimes have carhop night, but I could be wrong. As for the food, I was very happy. The amount of cheese and gravy on the poutine was glorious and appreciated, the burger was melt in your mouth awsome. I've eaten at Burger places from here to Cali and not many were above Burger Boy. My only complaint is that they are not open all year around. I can't wait to go back to try...

Quick ordering, quick service, really nice ladies running the drive thru, and even more amazing owners!!! waited about 10-15 mins for our food. Got chicken fingers, pulled pork, and a burger with a kids meal! Food was brought put and the smell was incredible!! But opening it made our jaw drop!! DELICIOUS Kinda pricey but considering the amount of food it made sense. The establishment wasn't busy at all, and it was quick. Had a wicked nice late lunch with my family. Thanks guys!!! To everyone else in the reviews, give these kids and workers a break and go easy. It's a burger joint, not a Gordon ramsay Michelin star restaurant, go somewhere else with your awful critiquing for your burgers if you can't handle high schoolers working...
