Potrillos Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Carlinville

This was our fourth visit to Potrillos. This place never disappoints. Our group of four has tried numerous items on the menu and it has ALL been quite delicious. Today we feasted on the combination fajitas - shrimp, beef, and chicken - all seasoned perfectly and served with tasty refried beans, rice, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and accompanied with warm flour tortillas. One in our group is addicted to the stuffed chile rellenos and could not believe the great deal on the lunch special that also included a beef taco and sides. And, another friend ordered the chicken tortilla soup and said it was the best he's ever had - with enough to take and enjoy at home. The staff is friendly and efficient. Drink glasses are kept filled and the warm chips and homemade salsa is generously offered throughout the dining experience! The family run business is sure to be an ongoing success. The space is immaculate! So happy to have this option in...

Loved POTRILLOS Mexican Grill and One-of-a-kind Atmosphere... Just moved here from The Coca-Cola Company Headquarters Downtown Atlanta...

and being from a ultra-fast paced metropolis is one thing...

but my being a homegrown small town southerner at heart is another.

Not too far from The Carlinville Square Gazebo... got to love ❤️ small-town beautiful views, illuminated old buildings, and its breathtaking late 1800's MILLION DOLLAR COURTHOUSE ( the history blows my mind )...

So after church we had to take a trip for groceries and the mama knows a sure way to get me to tag-along.....offer to take us to get some food and not just any food, Mexican food!!!! Perfect opportunity to try out the new place in Carlinville, Protrillos is kinda tucked away in town and we had to Google it to find it but we found it. And this place is really nice inside and out. Clean and cozy restaurant with great staff and great good!!! The chips are the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant. My son had the 🍔 🙄....he says he could eat it everyday. Mama had the quesadilla Suprema, one steak quesadilla and one chicken....the steak that was in the quesadilla was amazing btw. I had the chorripollo and it was also really good. If you haven't tried it and you're in Carlinville you should definitely...
