Really upset with Angry Chicken House. Very unprofessional of them. I loved getting food from there when they were on Dixie. Was such a great hole in the wall place and best place around Middletown to eat in my opinion. When they moved to their new location in Carlisle, I went to go get take out to take home for me and my disabled girlfriend. Going to restaurants can be difficult for us so take out is what we do. The first visit was unfortunate but understandable when they wouldn't do a take out because of just opening and not being able to handle the amount of business they were getting. After deciding to go back a week later because they said they were now accepting take out. I got there quarter to 7 and was told they stopped take out orders at 6. That's 2 hours before they close. Too early. People getting off at 5:30 can't get take out on the way home. I had to leave and find something else for us to eat for the evening. This also made things more annoying when they used to be 5 mins down the road from the house and now an extra 15 mins. I made a comment on their Facebook post about carry out and ordering online and wasn't trying to be nasty to them but tell others that will use take out to go before 6. I went on Facebook to see if I had a reply from them or something and have found out I've been blocked from their page. Can only imagine if others have been blocked as well. Angry Chicken House and their soon to open Just Add Cheese has lost my business and I'm no longer recommending Angry Chicken House to anybody anymore. After the reply from Angry Chicken House to this review, I was not inappropriate at the restaurant when I was told I couldn't order a take out. Just puzzled why so early and I've also had their food at their Dixie location before the move. I was blocked because it was a negative comment on their Facebook and they choose to delete the comment...
Read moreAngry Chicken House is a freaking gem! It could not have been a better experience and although I rarely write reviews the service and food deserves to be recognized. I was in the area with my family and we decided to stop in and order some food to go.
This location was clean and decorated to honor the different branches of the military which I appreciated. Heather (I believe was her name) was the hostess/server and she could not have been any more welcoming. She welcomed us in, handed us a menu, explained specials and let us sample some sauces. We ordered a Buffalo Ranch Chicken Bowl but swapped ranch with blue cheese, 10 piece Buffalo Boneless Wings and a Chicken Philly with grilled jalapeños (we also had an order of the house chips). Prices were fair and all the food was packaged well, in quality containers. Once we got home and opened everything up it looked as good as the pictures others have shared. Each order was loaded with oversized servings. But the most important part was that the taste was truly phenomenal! The chicken bowl and boneless wings were large pieces of chicken with perfect breading and a very tasty sauce on them. The blue cheese was very good and had depth of flavor. The wings were in the Top 5 I have had while living in Ohio, hands down. The chicken philly sandwich had a great bread and was made perfectly. It was overflowing with chicken, onions and jalapeños that we could make another sandwich. Homemade chips were tasty but got a little soggy in the bag from the heat.
Overall the Angry Chicken House is one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at in a while with great service, affordable prices and great tasting food. Worth the trip there and I’ll be back for sure. Owner is retired Army (briefly talked with him but a nice guy) and I am retired Air Force. Stand up place and wish you the...
Read moreHere we are, it's a Saturday and we are in the mood for some Hot Chicken. After perusing the usual options in Springboro, we came upon Angry Chicken House located in Middletown. Could this place satisfy our desire for a locally owned place with simple delicious chicken and great owners who care about their business. We'll...check, check, AND CHECK!
One of the owners, Josh, greeted us with a smile and provided a detailed review of his menu and the commitment to fresh-to-order meals. After much debate the order was a Nashville Chicken Sandwich for me, a Chicken Salad for my spouse, and some crispy fries to share. Now, would the food live up to the level of service we had just received.
The food was simply amazing. The chicken was fresh, juicy and crispy. My sandwich had a great Nashville sauce that had the right amount of spice. My spouse's salad was fresh, large and had multiple straps of juicy chicken along with their on-site prepared ranch dressing. She couldn't even finish it all, brining a good amount home for later consumption.
The fries though...oh, those glorious fries!! Crunchy, hot and covered with a wonderful spice blend. As a bonus, there were two dipping sauces included (for us newbies to taste). What came was their Angry Chicken and Alabama White sauces. I think I could have eaten that Alabama sauce of my shoe and it would still be great!!
Overall, the Angry Chicken House will certainly be a frequent establishment for our family. Do yourself a favor and get here for your next chicken fix, you won't be disappointed!!
Oh, and to top it off, the business is Veteran owned. So, on top of eating great food, your money os going to someone who gave so much more for our country. Talk about the icing...
