Great little restaurant nestled back in the neighborhood at 126th Street and Gray Road Carmel Indiana. This little gem does not show up on the Google searches but it should. As you can see the ratings thus far are 4.7 out of a 5.0 possible score open less than a year. Because there are no big high traffic type stores here other than CVS Pharmacy and a liquor store there are some challenges. The food that they serve here for breakfast and lunch is some of the best that I have ever eaten. I would encourage you to patronize Rad's as it is a gem in a quiet neighborhood with great breakfast & lunch. You will be out of the hustle bustle and able to have coffee, a business meeting, or a date Saturday / Sunday breakfast just about anything you would like for breakfast or lunch. Also in the summer months Rad's has outdoor seating. We have always found the wait staff and the owners here to be just the best. A short drive from the hustle bustle of Carmel and Westfield. Not far from Guerin Catholic High School and not far from Carmel High School. Their hours are good and they are open breakfast and lunch everyday except Mondays. Put this on your go to list for breakfast and lunch whether it be for you, family or a...
Read moreIt started with an impromptu family get-together, and it ended up being a great surprise. Challah french toast, chorizo breakfast tacos, mouth-watering biscuits, and gravy, all served quickly and kindly by a genuinely friendly staff.
Everyone LOVED their food, and as in all great family get-together meetups, the food was shared in an informal family style that left us all with a taste of different dishes filled with flavor and well prepared.
They have a unique take on hash browns. They cook them in a muffin tin which leaves the outside very crispy and crunchy and the inside tender and soft. I prefer traditional hash browns, but it didn't stop me from finishing my hash brown muffin with gusto. My father-in-law didn't love the muffin version and left half, but the other tables around us did the same thing to theirs that I did to mine, and that was to make it disappear. :)
I would have probably rated this as a 4.5, but they also have safe options for my wife in a variety of salads and omelets, so I had to bump it to a five-star rating. I will be back to make a further investment in that Challah french toast. It's starting to call to me, and that's always...
Read moreI found this place looking for a small local breakfast shop. After reading some of the reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I entered to a fairly small dining room that was well-appointed with modern and bright decoration. I was greeted and offered coffee when I sat at the bar. I had the biscuits and gravy with the pork sausage and a caramel cream coffee. Both were delicious. The pork belly sausage is a little different in flavor, with notes of cinnamon and clove. I liked it very well. The eggs could've used a little more seasoning but weren't bad. Same with the hashbrowns. I'd rather things be underseasoned than overseasoned. The Rooted Grounds coffee was also good, having a smooth flavor and the right amount of acidity. Steve (at least that was the server's name listed on the receipt) was very friendly and offered good conversation while I ate. Overall, for about $15, it was a very good breakfast. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other items...
