Sahm's Ale House Village of WestClay — Restaurant in Carmel

Brew pubs and Ale Houses are an ez 4 or 5 stars for me. This place, Locals love it, that's how I heard about it. I'm guessing my experience isn't the norm but I have to be honest... 1. Staff was kind but very slow. I have worked in the food business and I understand everybody has a bad day but 2. Wing order was wrong but also soggy and not cooked enough. I didn't complain because I had a difficult time choosing what wing sauce to choose anyway so I figured I would just try what they gave me the sauce was delicious but the wing was undercooked so it was chewy and really soggy. 3. I ordered the $12 6 flight of beer. I didn't love that they choose the six beers for you but it's okay I love beer so I was all down with trying new beers. The beers were served barely below room temperature they were very hard to finish I told the waitress she apologized but I was stuck with room temperature beer... 12 bucks of it. The beers were all together not bad but at room temperature they were not good. 4. I ordered the cheese pizza it was not bad but it had a splattering of tomato sauce and it was really wet... borderline soggy. I must admit I expected this place to be really good because it was $30 for the meal but it fell far short of my expectation. If the store owners read this review I will add you have some great potential if you cook the wings a little bit longer add a little bit of pizza sauce to your pizza and cook it longer and make the beers cold this would be an excellent place to hang out. I actually really enjoyed the atmosphere. I am not one to complain but for $30 I want cold beer and I want my food...

Visiting a friend, heard Carmel was nice and this place was good. Came here with a friend and my wife. Nice venue, nice outdoor seating. Server was nice, enjoyed a little fun banter. Ordered some drinks, were having a great time. Then it all went down hill:

Wrong appetizer (ordered tots with carnitas just got regular nachos), server didn't replace it just said it was close enough (ps the salsa was bad). Drinks stopped being ordered at this point. Chili appetizer was given (best part of our day aside the water). Wedge salad showed up, not good. Food came out, plates were extremely hot and my wife burned both her hands (and dropped the plate on the table) with no warning from the people who brought out the food. 2 orders of tacos came without the nachos. Tacos were edible at best, but not as good as they were read to be. Wings also came, they were not good either. Less than half our food was eaten and the server didn't ask how it was. Received the bill, at least got the appetizer taken off the bill. Started to give the server some credit for not being a idiot but then to top it off, the server charged our card with someone else's meal.

Sidenote, our server served the table next to us. They were more unhappy than us with service and food. We talked about it, they said it's sad the restaurant that used to be there...

I came in and order takeout from this restaurant normally once or twice a week haven’t been there in a couple weeks due to be an out of town come to order food today and I walk in the restaurant proceeded to walk over to the bar to place a to go order sat at the bar for about 15 minutes now everyone looked at me didn’t say may I help you or anything just looked at me and Proceeded to do what they were doing.. I picked up a menu and one of the servers walked past and she said what do you need!! I gave her my order and just walked away but I can hear her telling someone that I haven’t paid for my order yet so she kept looking @ me then she brings out my order after 20 minutes and just sat it on the table I gave her my phone number because I have points and she said oh!! It was more to it but I’m very pissed about my experience today I have never been treated like that when I go in there and order my food and to top it off she had the nerve to say we are doing shift change and...
