Good Evening Google Family. Our mom and I, this was our first time visiting. I found out about it from the people at the Aston Diner. Apparently, as it was explained to me, the same people own Aston Diner, Folcroft Diner, Falcon Diner and Swedesboro Diner. My mom and I have patronized all four. This was the last piece of the puzzle that one of the servers, Ann, at the Aston Diner told us about. So of course, I decided that I wanted to come here. Its a big world out there and I love adventure and going new places. If the Good Lord calls me home anytime soon, at least I can say that I have gone places and seen new people and experienced new things. I loved it that after I had parked in the handicapped parking space, Beth, a server, had opened the door for us. That was so great and awesome!!! Someone then seated us. We then proceeded to sit down in a booth. They had tables, but we always get a booth. We always visit the ladies room before we eat, so we did that. The ladies room was clean. When we arrived back at our booth, we were looking at the menus and then we ordered. Beth was our server and she had already brought us our water. We never drink it all, since we always are going to the bathroom. My mom, of course, ordered her usual broiled tilapia with her chicken noodle soup, plus sweet potatoes and applesauce. I ordered my Chef salad, which I have been ordering for awhile, especially at Aston Diner. I must say that their Chef Salad is huge. I took a pic of it so you can see it. I tried to finish it when I arrived home, but I could not. This entree is good for 3 seatings. That's how big it is. For our dessert, we ordered rice and tapioca pudding. Beth is a phenomenal server. She went above and beyond. Mom and I enjoyed her service. I would love to take her to Aston Diner with us and be our server there. The thing that we were not at all thrilled about is that the first booth that we were sitting in had a lot of ants and gnats on the window sill. We ended up moving because they wouldn't leave us alone, especially me. I had a deterrent on, but it didn't do any good and at first I couldn't understand why. And then I saw the gnats and the ants on the window sill. My mom and I then moved. I could not sit there any longer. The next table we went, it was better, but you can still see the ants and the gnats on the window sill. I would have given this restaurant five stars, but because of the insects, I could not. I hope they get some pesticides or an exterminator in there real soon to clean them up. I would hate for them to lose business over this. Good night Google Family and I would return, but not until they clean up those insects!!!!

As always, with this restaurant, the food is good. I have come here many times over the Delaware Memorial Bridge just to eat at this restaurant. They provide you the ability to make changes to the items on the menu. This ability to customize your meal means that you don't have to have items that you don't want in your order. Some people don't like oysters in a seafood platter and some people may not be able to have other items due to either food allergies or just a severe dislike. This ability to ask for changes separates this restaurant from most others. The staff is another amazing piece of the puzzle. They are very friendly and family-oriented. When we have my grandson with us, they make sure to bring out his meal first. This is very appreciated by parents and makes me believe that the majority of Staff realize this. During the Pandemic - Added 03/01/2021 Well they always say, it's hard to realise how good something is until you don't have it anymore. That truly goes for this restaurant. Prior to the COVID pandemic it was my favourite place to go. Now that indoor service is back, so are we. Remember that Doordash, Grubhub and other services are third party and cost the establishment extra for their service. This restaurant not only offers good food but the staff offers great service and are friendly. I am sorry if people find delivery services lacking but Deep Water is not to blame. It is sad that a customer has to come to the restaurants defense but it needs to be said. Throughout this pandemic restaurants took a severe, almost mortal blow. I back my favorite establishments and the severs. This is one of my favorite restaurants... thank you Deep Water - I appreciate everything you do.

I’ve been living in the area for quite a few years and never actually dined in here, until last night. After a couple botched DoorDash orders from this diner during COVID, I decided to give them another try and dine in this time in hopes that things have improved. I arrived and the diner was practically dead, so I was advised to sit wherever I wanted. I found it odd that a lot of the “cleaned” tables that had silverware on them still had a lot of crumbs. I tried to pick the cleanest booth I could find. A gentleman came and took our drink order, and smelled horribly of smoke. I just brushed it off, but I wasn’t too impressed. Then, when our drinks came, I noticed they were using Dunkin’ Donuts straws. That was just weird. I ordered split pea soup and the hot turkey wrap. As you can see by the photos, the split pea soup was disgusting. The consistency resembled mashed potatoes. It was actually nauseating. The “hot” turkey wrap had pre-shredded cheese in the middle that was not even slightly melted, so there was nothing even warm about it. The turkey was dry and tasted old. The bacon in the wrap was nothing more than bottled bacon bits you buy at the grocery store. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the actually warm dinner rolls and butter that came with my husband’s chicken parm. He said it was just okay. Yes, this diner is cheap, but the price also severely reflects the quality of food. For a few extra dollars, it’s worth it to go to a nearby diner for much better quality food. Maybe their breakfast is better here, but I’m not going to bother trying it.

I ordered food from here 3 times using door dash. Each time something was wrong with my order. I let it slide the first time. The second time I called DoorDash and they got the order corrected and sent out. This time again they forgot the sides. Added veggies when there was supposed to be mashed potatoes. And last they got the kids menu order wrong. Instead of giving me chicken fingers we got spaghetti and meatballs. So I called door dash a f explained. They called the restaurant And made sure that oh they could put in a new order for us. Door Dash put in a whole new order which included everything we ordered all over again( Please note that door Dash paid for the entire order them selves so the restaurant was receiving a full payment) AGAIN. Door Dash advised me of this and told me to wait for my order. While I was waiting I decided to call the restaurant and let them know how good their food was each time that we got it I was sorry for the inconvenience. What or who answered the phone was a young lady who was completely rude and obnoxious as soon as she found out who I was. She told me that her father made the order and it was right and when I tried to advise her that it wasn’t she told me I was wrong or lying. The whole time this young lady had a complete attitude talked over me and wouldn’t let me get any sentences in and when I said something completely ignored me. I let her know that she should know her menu and that the Elmo on the kids menu was chicken fingers and fries not spaghetti and meatballs which is what her father sent us. She asked for my phone number I gave it to her she told me that they were not going to remake the whole order again when I advised her that they were getting paid for the whole order again she told me fine they would do it. Then all of a sudden the phone with snatched out of her hand by a man who called me “hon“ every time he was addressing me which was probably about 20 times. He told me that the order was not wrong they weren’t going to remake it. I advised him that he was getting paid for it he called me hon one more time I told him that I didn’t appreciate it and he was not going to call me that and hung up on me. I called door dash back the woman I got on the phone was so polite and nice. She called the restaurant and told them that they needed to remake them all because they got paid twice the first time the mail was sent to us and now this time door dash was paying for us to get it again. She comes back to the line and advise me that the rude woman that she spoke to was ridiculous and obnoxious but I will be getting my food. I’ll leave another comment if there’s anything wrong with the food. And honestly I hope the owner see this before they make it because the food is going to my children and if anything was done to it I will be calling the police trust and believe (I’m really just being a smart butt but for real) Also want to add that the food that we got was good it wasn’t amazing but it was very good. If it wasn’t for the route owners I would recommend it to everybody but I’ll make sure I tell everybody what kind of people are there and how they run their business. And now when I received my food they only gave me the chicken tenders not all the food that they were paid for their horrible greedy people and they’re disgusting even Uber driver said they treated...

About 8 or 9 years ago I was driving trucks and worked with a guy whose wife or girlfriend worked here so I figured I would check them out since I was also working on a house in the area and wanted to get some lunch somewhere. I don't remember a whole lot about that visit other than that I was not all that impressed with the diner and had no plans of ever coming back again. That was until a year or so ago when I was talking to a contractor who said he had been doing some work on the diner and that they were really making it a nice place. My opportunity finally came on Saturday when I drove a bus of kids out to the college and had some down time and wanted to go somewhere for a meal. Since I had another driver with me I talked to him and we decided to go ahead and check out Deepwater, it was a good choice. The first thing I noticed was the fact that the parking lot had a lot of cars in it at 9:00 on a Saturday and most of the cars were at least from New Jersey and not necessarily people driving through to check them out. There were also a handful of semis in the parking lot and since I know from experience that truckers know the best places to eat that too is a good sign. Since I have found that when I am ordering something at someplace new that an omelet will usually tell how good a place is I ordered one that of course came with home fries both of which were good and did not taste like the bottled eggs that other places use. It may have been that but if so it was at least fresh and did not taste like they had it sitting around forever. The other driver wasn't sure what to get but decided to just get some pancakes however not knowing what size to order he wanted to make sure he had enough so he ordered the stack of 5. I'm glad he did so if I ever come back I will know not to order 5 as they are reminiscent of the ones I got when I ate at Aunt Jennies in Lancaster County. The entire time we were there the service was excellent as our coffees were kept full and everything we ordered came out as ordered though I know with breakfast there is not a lot that can go wrong but still it shows that they are able to do well even with the small things. I will be back though I don't know when but maybe I will try a...
