Roman Pantry — Restaurant in Carneys Point Township

I came here and ordered rhe Maryland crab soup and there was not one peice of crab in it despite the picture in the store display making it look like it would be loaded in crab. I get that images don't always match expectations but there was no crab, none at all, I essentially had a vegetable soup. I poured it out hoping there would be crab on the bottom, none, so basically an overpriced vegetable soup. Also the pizza counter might be to small because the pizza slices were all poking out on the customer side, which defeated the purpose of the shield. Also as their oven was full as the cooks bought out new orders to go in the oven and rested them on the counter in front of people who were waiting and talking, myself including, for their order to come up. So who knows how much spit balls flew or people reached over stuff. I had a slice of pizza, simple pepperoni, it was edible. The only real positive was customer service was good, they were pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable, I wish I had tried the soup before I left, because they would have to fix it. UPDATE

I ordered 2 sandwiches. The cheesesteak’s roll was cut all the way through so all the meat just fell out and it was cold. The chicken cheesesteak sub with extra cheese had no cheese so it was just dry diced chicken with hoagie veggies. Over the past 6 months the quality has gone downhill. I used to recommend this restaurant but now I probably won’t even order from here anymore. This is not the first time an order has been wrong or sloppy beyond being able to enjoy it.

I just ordered again Jan 2025, and had another disappointing experience. Cheese fries were smashed and mushy, the bacon layer on top was think, and saucy and it looked like dog food. Overall the mega fries were disgusting, inedible and a waste of money. The sausage breakfast sandwich was burnt. It had only 1 sausage patty and it was hard and burnt. The croissant was also burnt. I drove 2 1/2 hours one direction to get to Roman pantry for lunch meat and sandwiches I ordered three large cheesesteaks three large Gino specials which were half the size of the cheesesteaks not normally what I’m used to getting from there and then our lunchmeat order that we placed we asked for capicola Not the hamocola the real stuff, and got ham o cola, We asked for a pound of prosciutto and we got a pound of provolone how you mix that up is beyond me. Going back to pick up order and attitude when she handed me my bag of lunchmeat when I asked her for that Essentially rushed out.
