Sir Nick's Pizza Carol Stream — Restaurant in Carol Stream

Saturday night we were watching the Loyola game and anticipating a visit by our visiting nurse. It was a Sir Nick's kind of night. We have been regular customers for a long time, sometimes ordering multiple times per week.

I ordered a rib eye steak sandwich with mayo and mozzarella cheese. Right after I ate it I became nauseous and vomited several times. Yesterday I tried to call the owner, Lucky, a couple times, leaving messages and never getting a call back.

One time I was told he would be in later and the other time he was "too busy." After an hour wait and no call back, I called back and told the order taker to not bother to have him call. I am done with them.

This is not the first time we received badly prepared food. We recently ordered and received their half baked chicken. Not only was it half a chicken, but it was also only half baked. It was oozing with blood.

With those standards I will not subject myself or my elderly wife to tainted, poorly prepared food ever again. And by the way, when the nurse arrived shortly after we ate, she confirmed that I most likely had a bad reaction to the sandwich.

I've ordered from this place many times before in the past. Their pizza and pretty much everything else on the menu is either soaking in grease or just terrible quality food overall. Some people like a greasy pizza thing but honestly I've had way better pizza for so much cheaper. Just recently I had ordered from here and they forgot a soda I ordered, so I called them back and asked for a delivery guy to bring it back and to also replace their "BBQ Rib Sandwich" with a chicken sandwich because their BBQ Rib sandwich was floating in a pool of the most disgusting "BBQ" sauce I'd ever smelled and the meat was basically just a freakin McRib patty. Unfortunately I ended up waiting upwards of 2 hours before I had to call back and ask for my money back because nobody ever came back to my house, nobody ever called me or updated me at all. Friendly people working the phones, even at peak times. In DOZENS of orders, I have had only one order have mistakes, and it had two, which not only did I chalk up to "stuff happens" but also am quick to remind people that EVERYONE has an off day and messes up sometimes. The issue was apologized for when I called, and they offered to send someone with the correct items immediately, and when I turned them down, because it seemed like a horrible waste of time over a couple small items, I was told I'd be taken care of next time, and I was. Overall, I find the Carol Stream Sir Nick's location to have fast and courteous service, smiley and polite drivers, great prices, and very very tasty food. I have had one small disappointment, but I have never been UNHAPPY.
