Long time no visit “La Llave del Mar” first time under new management. Start with their famously “pastelillos” we had the octopus and chapin” very good. Had to say that the food is better specially the “arroz con jueyes” very tasty and the “ensalada the carrucho” was tender and had big chunks very good. On the lesser note they need to updated the menu prices because the price of the carrucho salad was different (higher) that the menu said and that can upset other clients. Although recommended. Also is a good place to have a few drinks and “picadera”

This place is really understaffed so be prepared to wait but the food and sangria is great! The sangria was made fresh by the blonde lady and it was the best I had while on island. This is worth a stop on your way from the airport or to catch your flight but do so with ample time! The only thing I didn't like was the alcapurria, it was my first time trying it and just not a fan. Everything else was great! We ordered a variety of empanadas, fish and lobster were my favorite. We ate from here twice on our visit.

Family owned business. Want to sit, chat and enjoy their famous happy hours while waiting for your food? You'll be ready to be delighted. Best local dishes, pastelillos to begin with, mofongo, lobster, steaks, delicious fish tacos, or fried snapper. Free parking, air conditioned and ready for the whole family. Thank you La Nueva Llave, we'll be back soon!

Coming in from a very long journey from Paris, France I was very much looking forward to a satisfying meal. It’s so hard finding solid food in Puerto Rico if you don’t know where to go. I discovered this excellent place because a friend booked our Airbnb nearby so I made it my mission to get there before the kitchen closed when our plane landed. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. The staff were welcoming and kind, the drinks were strong (muchas gracias!) and the food was beyond our expectations. I ordered the snapper with yucca mofongo––it was absolutely incredible. The fish was fresh and very flavorful. The meal was so good and such a generous portion I had to take the mofongo to go (I enjoyed it for breakfast the next morning). Since then I have recommended this place to any one coming to PR, my family is there now and I have insisted they stop here for a taste of “home”. I can’t wait to return to my beloved PR and this absolute gem. Muchisimas gracias to the excellent team at...

Stopped here for lunch after picking up our rental car next door. We had just landed from our flight and were very hungry. We picked the wrong place. We had 6 people in our group and we all ordered and sat down at a table. The tables were very dirty. The high chair for our little one was even more dirty. This seems like a local place and we weren’t expecting a high class dining experience but it just wasn’t a great experience. The food took a long time to come out. It seems like if you’re a local, the food comes out faster. 90% of the options on the menu were fried foods which seems like the norm for the area so not a complaint, just an observation. Honestly, this place may have seen better days but just...

Today Feb 14th I wanted to eat something special and at 4:30 pm ordered and paid $28.93 for pickup at 6:00 pm. When I went to pick it up at 6:00 pm they hadn't even started it. It was Asopao de Langosta (lobster stew). I told the Mgr I couldn't wait and asked for my money back. He went inside the kitchen and didn't come out. I waited and after 10 minutes left pissed off. Service is terrible too: when you step up to the counter employees don't acknowledge your presence -complete indifference. I lost my money but they they lost something more...
