Real honest review. As you might see in many reviews from recently and as far as 3 years ago, there are some really negative qualities about this restaurant, starting from the way you are greeted and treated at the front door. The serving staff seems very untrained, not very friendly, not knowledgeable about the menu at all, and truly lacking customer service skills. During our visit, the restaurant had many empty tables, and only 3 tables occupied and what seemed like 5-7 servers available, yet our drink order of 3 virgin piña coladas took over 20 minutes to come. I asked for a can of Sprite and had to get up and ask for it about 40 minutes after placing our order and waiting. When we asked what was taking so long, one of the servers said the food simply takes about 45 minutes regularly. We were hoping this was because the food would be very fresh and made to order, but when it came out, that wasn't the case at all. The food was lacking in flavor and texture. The rice was dry and the beans were watery and flavorless. The meat (in our case, Chuleta Can Can) was ridiculously dry, flavorless and honestly seemed as if it had just been reheated. We had also ordered French fries as a side for one of our children, which you would think would come out first or at minimum with the food. When all of our food was at the table, they came a few minutes later to ask how everything was and we asked for the fries again, which they had to go back and check if it had been ordered and then send to the kitchen at that point to have them made. Overall, just a very disappointing experience. The whole thing was subpar, underwhelming and definitely nothing...
Read moreMy 5th time in PR, my first time experiencing hatred. I bought my cousin here, her first time in PR. This was on 1/19/2025 in the evening. As soon as I started speaking, the look on dudes face was the Classic hatred look. Never smiled, no greeting. After I ordered, he asked me to wait on the other side of the register, which I had to walk back out the door, and walk back in another door on the other side, which was actually a betting side. Mind you, everyone else is waiting on the entrance side we came in. We waited 45 min for a Hamburger and a salad. Meanwhile, several people came in after us, they got a warm greeting, and was in and out of there. Once my cousin got her order, she informed them she was missing a cheesecake. The woman informed the guy who took the order. Her demeanor, look on her face, no different than the dudes attitude. Still waiting on my food, he informed the woman about the cheesecake. Then my order came. Still waiting on the cheesecake, my cousin bought it to there attention again. Finally, after another 5 min, she got her food. I kept my cool and said thank you and walked out, dude still with that hatred look in his face. It took alot to keep my cool because it's my cousins first visit and me being a veteran with ptsd. Not a good combination. I informed my Peeps on FB not to go there because this place is not tourist friendly. I was also informed by residence that I do know in PR as to why this happened....
Read moreWell let me start by saying our waitress was very nice it was the manager who was the problem. So we ordered food came out and we were ready to eat so we asked for some hot salsa. Well if they call that hot salsa we are all in trouble. They bought us something green and said it was not avocado, but it wasn't hot either. The waitress says well it's not but that's what we serve as hot salsa ($2.50) for a small cup. So we said do you have any hot sauce, bad mistake because we got buffalo sauce. Can't even make it up... We ate it bc the food lacked heat. So to what we ordered- chicken taco (good), shrimp taco (disappointing bc it was COLD), beef taco (ok but a little salty), beef quesadilla (was ok), steak fijatas with rice was the beat of all our dishes.
So why the manager was an issue - one of the dishes came out and the young lady in our group started eating, lifted her taco and there was a piece of hair under it. So she got the waitress who apologized and she went to tell the manager. She came back and was told they would take it off the bill. She said ok but I had other stuff. Waitress said we will remove your meal. So the rest of us paid and stood up to leave. The manager came over and stopped her and told her she had to pay. Now I know we were not in the mainland but who wants to pay for someone's hair in their food. YUKE. We pd and...
