I was pretty excited to visit this place and experience a brewery vibe, wellllllll was I disappointed. We arrived, the receptionist was very polite and sat us in the open seating area by the fan (that was the highlight). The waitress arrived and took our order, although I had to stop her from leaving a few times because I wasn't done ordering. I ordered beer and hard drinks since it looked like if I waited we would be waiting a while to get more drinks. We got the appetizers (they got our order wrong) the guava bbg wing were good but could have used a little more sauce. We also ordered the chorizo sliders but they gave us chicken tenders. The waitress was kind enough to omit the chicken tenders from our receipt. Here's the thing, the food came out before our beer and drinks, when we finally for them, they were warm, which meant they were ready but the waitress let them sit in the heat. The hard drink were pretty basic, a passion fruit mojito and a martini. DONT ORDER THE HARD DRINKS, TWAS TERRIBLE! I told the waitress we wanted to sit at the bar so we cam order some drinks and get them before they got hot; she replied I would have to wait as there is no open space at the bar. Now, mind u, I am looking straight at the bar and I see 5 open chairs and nobody around but she tells us there is no space, okay. So finally she takes us to the bar with the 5 open seats and says we have to close our account to sit here. After an hour we get our chorizo sliders and maaannnnnnn, it was the sorriest sliders I have ever seen. I will tell I that I love Ocean beer, it is a great beer with a good variety but just get it from the local supermarket because this brewery was truly one of the worst breweries I...

In a word, disappointing... I should have looked at more of the reviews that had writing, my experience is pretty common but drowned out by 5 stars with nothing to back them up. I was in a group of four that sat down around 6pm and ordered food around 6:20pm. We were told after an hour of waiting that the kitchen was backed up and it would be another fifteen minutes. After another 30 minutes went by the server again apologized for the wait and told us they would comp us the round of drinks we had ordered. At this time a couple of tables had abandoned hope and cashed out without their food. After another fifteen minutes we were told it would be at most fifteen more minutes and the table next to us who arrived and ordered after us (a group of 8) were getting their food at that time. Twenty or so minutes later we still didn't have our food and we had an appointment at 9pm so we decided to leave and the server came out with one of the four orders saying the rest will be out soon. We end up waiting five minutes and ask for the food to go so we can settle up and leave. Two of the other three orders show up and we find they forgot the fourth order. After rechecking the receipt the server went back to the kitchen to start the order. We end up getting charged for the beer they said they would take off too. Not the servers fault, the guy was nice and as helpful as he could be, but, it seems they have a kitchen and management problem. We did not get our food until after 8:45pm. The food was not anything special, may have been good paired with their beer but I'll never know. And the beer was ok, pretty basic but soured by...

XIOMARA was our waitress, I want to begin my review with the fact that I am a local, and I absolutely love Ocean Lab! It's usually one of my favorite places to dine, and tonight, I invited a good friend to join me for dinner, her first time at Ocean Lab. Our waitress was Xiomara. I am a person who has worked in the restaurant business in the past, and enjoys tipping my servers above and beyond for great service. Xiomara was terrible! We had to chase her down to order initially. We placed our order, mine was for 3 items...10 wings w/blue cheese, a wedge salad and the bread with fondue dip. When the order arrived, there was no bread and fondue. I figured it would arrive later. It never came! We had to chase her down for another drink order as she never returned, and I asked her about the order for the fondue. She tried blaming it on the kitchen and never brought the order out!! She just ignored it completely! We asked her for boxes, and she brought them and walked off and never came with the bill. I got up to go to her 10 minutes later while She was laughing and chated with co-workers. She finally came to the table finally and angry charged me and left without giving me a receipt. I walked over and told her I needed a receipt. She came and very nasty printed a receipt and left. She should not be working with the public with this attitude. It was one of my favorite places to eat, and she ruined the whole experience for myself and my friend, who was a...

Kind of a confusing experience. We stopped in on a whim while visiting Piñones. Parking costs $5 and the brewery is inside of some sort of fancy vacation club or something. The parking lot on the brewery side smelled strongly of rotting grain and it was really unpleasant. There aren't any signs indicating where to go to try the beer from the brewery. We went in the door marked with the brewery logo, but discovered that's just a shop where they sell beer and branded merchandise. Then we wandered into the pool area, which I don't think we were allowed to enter... when we approached the pool bar, the bartender told us that the area was for guests with wrist bands only and outside guests had to go "upstairs". Finally we found the upstairs restaurant where their beer is served. It has a gorgeous view of the ocean! My husband ordered the hop diver and he liked it. I had a virgin mojito and it was also good. We didn't try the food, the menu was mostly not Puerto Rican food so we decided to eat at Piñones instead. We could kind of still smell the rotting grain from the restaurant - it wasn't overwhelming, but the stench definitely floated in and out on the wind. The vacation club itself looked nice, I would've loved some information about it but their website is down. Overall it was a strange experience and I'm not sure I would recommend it.

Friendly and attentive staff. Beach access, nice views of the city and the ocean. There’s also a pool but I’m not too sure how that works or if it’s directly associated with this establishment. You will also Ave to pay for parking ($5 for restaurant). The night we went they had a live band playing (which had its pros and cons). Pro was “free entertainment” the con however, was that the music was so loud that you basically had to shout or be really close to talk to other people (including the staff). Condensed menu but everything we ordered was good. Children are not allowed in the bar area, but are allowed in the dining area. Although they did not have a formal kids menu, they accommodated us by providing a child appropriate meal (chicken tenders and fries). Speaking of fries...they have amazing ones, well seasoned perfect crisp to soft ratio and hot. As the name suggests, there’s a brewery so that’s another component. It was busy during the time we went and the wait was close to an hour. I would recommend calling ahead to see if reservations are needed for the time you intend to go. Overall it was a good experience, and I would recommend it.
