Playa Isla Verde — Attraction in Carolina

Came here back in 2016 to this location I need to add that this is one of the best beaches close to San Juan area. This is a good beach for relaxing to take in the sun. The water here is clear with a nice turquoise color and most of the times it's clam. It's very good for swimming. As for snorkeling, you can see a few fish here and there but not the ideal spot for that activity.

As for post hurricane Maria, I'm not sure what the situation is...

Update: came back on Saturday and parking lot was open. There were lifeguards, open bathrooms, and huts for shade and barbecuing. Parking is $5. Great public beach with lots of space, great sand, and shells.

Okay on a rainy day. Not sure how clear the water will look when there is sun. But it is clean! Be aware of the tiny sand mosquitos. Quite annoying to have your ankles and arms all red without even realizing. Hotels in the area do offer free insect creams...
