This place has a lot going for it. First and foremost, the food is excellent. It boasts a bright, open, and inviting atmosphere, complemented by consistently friendly staff. Parking is usually easy, and the outdoor seating is a nice touch. However, the one glaring issue is the efficiency of service. Upon entering, you're immediately greeted by a long line—often exceeding the number of seated guests—which stems from a highly inefficient ordering process. Customers pile up at the front door, waiting in line for over 20 minutes just to place their orders, and then another 20 minutes for their food. This wasteful system is the biggest drawback and discourages repeat visits. To the owners: you’ve done a fantastic job overall, but the ordering process must be overhauled. Implement QR codes on tables so patrons can easily scan and order from their phones. Eliminating the front-door line—especially during winter—will transform this from a good place into a great one. Fix this, and this place will truly be five stars across the board.

We are only giving this 4 stars because of the wait but honestly it was worth the wait! We got there around 9:45 and the line to order moved fairly quickly. Almost all of the inside tables were full but there was some bar seating available and the whole patio was open but it was a little too cool this morning. By the time we left they had posted a sign they were suspending food orders for 30 minutes to catch up and would resume by 11am. The food made up for it. I’m a stickler for coffee and boy was I more than happy with a plain drip today and I really appreciated that they had simple syrup available at the self service station. My fiance got a mocha that they spared no expense on chocolate! His breakfast burrito looked incredible and he had no complaints and loved the potatoes. I got the Cali Benedict and oh man was it absolutely worth it! Not only did they swap the English muffin for GF toast but it was overflowing with avocado, not stingy at all!

I absolutely ADORE this place and come here at least 3 times a week to use the couch area in the back to work in the mornings. The staff is always hyper friendly and very attentive. The food never disappoints, and the coffee is great. If you want to try something new, the lavender latte is really nice. I can also deeply appreciate this place being very queer friendly. The flag in the window is such a nice touch and tells me “come on in and you are wanted here” 🥰 I have not met the owner in person, but I did see her making the rounds yesterday and she seems like an incredibly nice lady.

I don't even want to give it one star! I am disabled and I have a service dog who gives me emotional support. She is a registered service dog. My sister, mom, and myself went for lunch and the manager told us to take menus and be seated. He would come and take our order. We found a table and I put my yorkie on the seat next to me in her bag. A waitress approached and asked if she was a service animal. I told her yes, and asked if she wanted to see her card. She said it was not necessary. The man came Nd asked about drinks. When he came back with the drinks he asked for our order. After taking the orders and I paid for it, he asked what service my dog provided. I told him and he said that emotional support is not recognized by the American Disabilities Act. I told him she is registered and would he like to see her card. He said no, he has a service dog and the American Disabilities Act does not recognize emotional support animals, and neither does the Cafe. He said he would let us slip this time. We began eating and my dog came on my lap and at one point puther paws on the table. Another waitress approached and said to keep her off the table. I put my dog on her pouch on the chair and then was told she had to be on the floor. I proceeded to place her on the floor and then the man came back and with an annoyed tone, he told me the dog needed to be leashed and that I should know that. I raised my hand to show him she was on a leashed and told him she was. It was then that I told my sister and mother to finish their lunch, but I was leaving before I lost my temper. I was giving them what they were hoping I would do. Since my dog was not aggressive or disruptive, by law, he could not ask me to leave. I have never been treated so badly in my life, but I will never recommend this Cafe to anyone! I wasn't even able to eat much of my lunch which what I did eat...

This is a fantastic addition to the Briar Chapel neighborhood. Really good food but it's a little expensive, like 7$ oatmeal - seriously? And a single patty of sausage will set you back 3.50$ but other things are more price appropriate and everything not only tastes good but is properly sourced and prepared nicely. Try the smoked meats, everything is smoked in house in small batches. My main complaint with them and the reason they don't get 5/5 stars - SUPER SLOW. There is always a line and typically no reason for one, I think it's partly due to the old-er crowd not making quick decisions but there cashier isn't quick to lead you to complete your order. She should be asking if you want sides, drinks, pastries, anything else, done, next. Maybe they need an option to place your own order or a second cashier on the morning but a 30 minute wait in line and then 15 minutes additional just to get a simple breakfast sandwich is unacceptable. Get it together! In addition they have the coffee station over by the entrance forcing you to get through the line of people waiting to order which is just an odd layout, it's especially difficult with kids in line. The coffee station table is low forcing you to bend over and put your butt into the line and it's ackward. The coffee station should be over underneath their expresso machine, which is also where you pickup your coffee. That way you can doctor the coffee up without risk of spilling it on people in line or getting bumped into by crazy children. Very...

IMO: bacon tastes absolutely terrible. I've never in my life had to spit out bacon until today. Coffee has the worst flavor profile. You are greeted with a bad attitude and most of the staff looks unhappy when observing them. Customers must self serve coffee, while there's a sign in front of the coffee pot that talks about how coffee is so expensive now and therefore no refills. (Not that I could ever drink another cup of this, but how can that be enforced?) There are 'lack-mindset' signs placed around in this business telling people not to do this or that. There's random merch messily positioned that is incongruent with that of a breakfast place. Even the placement of the tables makes no sense. Just so much is wrong with this establishment, I could go on and on. Lastly and probably most important is why are the prices so ridiculous? I suppose they are trying to make up for their financial lack mindset and charge the customers to cover for what is simply bad business model and staff management. I gave this business another try after a year and it only seems to be getting worse. Won't go back for sure and I guess they won't miss my business either cause no one seems to be friendly and care about you in there. My desire is that they read this review with a thirst for improvement instead of just brushing people off as they apparently do in response to other bad reviews. COFFEE...
