RIVAS MEXICAN GRILL #9 — Restaurant in Carson City

I normally love eating at this place. Ive seen all the negative reviews and never experienced those things until last night! My boyfriend ordered our food through the online order on their website. After getting off work I go to picked up the order. I first go through the drive thru and the guy at the window said "we don't have that order are you door dash"? I replied "no"and i showed him the screen shot of the order .He takes my phone to look at it and says "no, no we don't have that order." I call my boyfriend he calls them they tell him yah it will be ready in 15 min mind you the order was placed at 550 and said it would be ready at 620 at this time it's already 645. I wait 15 min in my car go inside the guy with glasses from the drive thru window again tell me there's no order. I tell him my boyfriend just called you guys and you told him 15 mins why don't you have my order. The guy then goes around the counter asked to see my order again which he then grabs my phone to look. He then grabs an order pad to write down the order im like are you serious you gotta make the food it's not ready? At this time I'm very frustrated because our food was 80$ and they already charged the credit card. I then requested for a refund he said that they don't have cash and he would have to get ahold of a manager he tells me to wait so I sit down. He then comes back to me to tell me the tablet isnt working so that's why they didn't have my order. Another lady comes in and had order online and her food was ready so which was it? Not even 5 mins later they're handing me my order! Our food was thrown together like slop in a pig pen.My boyfriend calls again to talk to a manager and the guy that was doing the drive through with glasses told him he was the owners son. He says I refused to show him my order which was a lie! I will not go back to an establishment that lies to their customers. Honestly idk if I could put 0 stars. The 1 stars means I hated it! Overpriced for how messy and dry the food was! I am so disappointed in how they handled my order. I am all about supporting small businesses but literally we had a HUGE order and every single meat was dry. We got chicken, pastor, steak and every single one..DISAPPOINTED! They were all DRY. How unfortunate! Then I called and they gave me the option to remake or get a refund. So I drove back to give them all the foods back (this is completely unsanitary btw) and they nit picked at everything. They wouldn't even give me a full refund cuz my one burrito was half eaten?! No it definitely wasn't. I drove twice to this establishment and they dis not even say sorry or concerned or anything. They just said the meat was made today. Okay..and?? That doesnt negate that they were all dry! Honestly, I NEVER complain here before. I have been here numerous times too. It just goes to show you that you never know how good a business is until you see how they handle complaints/concerns or if something bad happens. Customer service is super important! EVERYTHING on their menu is AWESOME. The drive-thru is a little slow, but only because it's soooo busy, and the food is freshly made, not frozen and re-heated stuff. Whenever I get sick, which is often, I have my husband go and get Menudo from here, and it ALWAYS, ALWAYS helps me feel better. Plus, I said it's DELISH already, right? It bears repeating, REPEATEDLY. The tortas are perfect. Not like other places, the bread is the perfect thickness, toasted correctly so as to be just the right texture, not rubbery or too hard. And, OMG, the CHILES RELLENOS ARE TO DIE FOR!!! Literally it's like each bite is the divine balance between slightly spicy, creamy, savory goodness that melts in your mouth. The Horchata isn't that nasty, grainy, too sweet stuff. It's a sweet, creamy, just a hint of cinnamon, cold concoction they must make from scratch because it is 100% better than any Horchata elsewhere.
