Forno D'Oro — Restaurant in Cartersville

My wife and kids drove all the way from Marietta to eat at Forno d’Oro. First impressions were that the restaurant was very clean and the staff was welcoming. We placed our order, and our food was ready within 7 minutes. The speed definitely helps when you have a 4- and 5-year-old. I ordered the d’Oro (meat lovers). The pizza tasted clean, not greasy, and tasted like the ingredients were actually made fresh. I was quite impressed since I am very particular about my pizza. Paying a few dollars more than your run-of-the-mill pizza place is totally worth it. Quality is much better than your Pizza Huts/ Domino’s. My wife had the Caesar Salad, and the kids had pepperoni pizza (it was much larger than I expected, and we had to take the rest home for leftovers). Oh, and garlic knots for the appetizer, which were extremely good, and 1 order was enough for the 4 of us. The manager, Cory, was fantastic and treated us like family. I wanted to provide a review. I was able to go today and snag 3 pies and I will say that it’s definitely the best pizza in Cartersville. I’m from NY/NJ so I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. The restaurant was nice, the people were nice and the food came out super fast. However I did want to give a small piece of feedback but I made sure it did not affect your rating because at the end of the day it’s just my opinion. I was really really comparing this pizza to y favorite spot in Georgia which is Vesuvio and the dough at your location is a little thicker and chewy versus vesuvios. If you all can mimic their dough process your pizza would be as golden as your oven. I know for a fact they use Caputo pizza flour, not sure if that makes a difference. Forno d’ Oro has truly blown up in Cartersville, and it’s easy to see why! Corey’s attention to detail and exceptional service really stand out—he makes you feel like family every time you walk in. 🍕 The restaurant has quickly become a local favorite, and I’m so excited to see their journey unfold right here in our town.
