First things first... do not sit at the high tops. They have bar height stools, but the high tops are counter height. See my photos. My skinny friend managed to sit at them, but ive got 34" thick muscle rockets attached to my hips, so i had to stand or sit sideways. Very demure. Moving on... One of the joys of pizza is the gluten! Am I right? That chewy mouth feel, and that beautiful sensation of bread pulling away from bread in an ode to melted mozzerlla! You will NOT experience that here. The crust on the hand tossed large pizza we ordered was very un-bread like. If you pulled a piece of the crust, it just gave up and none of its friends or family in crus-tville tried to keep them from leaving home. Digiorno does it better. I do not know how to spell digiorno. You know what i mean though. The pizza was the chicken alfredo specialty pizza. We were given a bowl of chicken fettucini alfredo. Ill be honest... it was effin delightful. They add lemon for a tangy zing! It works! However, as an entree... its awfully small. The bread sticks that came with it... perfectly breadlike, despite seeming like its not made in-house. We re ordered our pizza as a pizza and it looked booooootiful! Perfectly baked on top, with a high crust and plenty of cheese. But thats the best i can say about it. When compared to the actual chicken fettucini alfredo entree... this pizza was a flavorless white saucer that hid the true nature of its purpose at our table... To make us wonder if our taste buds stopped working. It tasted like white nothing. The crust was fluffy and ... bland. The sauce was there, but it was overmasked by the mozzerlla and broccoli. All in all, i would say... go somewhere else for pizza. Anywhere else. This is not their forte. The staff is VERY friendly, and the atmosphere is clean and well lit without being too bright. Its really nice! If you go, try the wings... they say it takes 20 minutes to get them and i wanna know if its worth the wait. Lemme know.

Take out review: we've been going to the Belle Plaine location and have had great experiences there and solid pizza. When we learned that a new location opened in Carver, we decided to order online and pick-up since we were in the area. I regretfully neglected to open the box until I got home and found my pizza to be half-cooked. Much of the crust was extremely thick and there was raw dough in the middle of almost all of the pieces. I tried to broil the pizza in my oven but to no avail. We had to throw the pizza out. I called and spoke to the manager to ask for a refund. He told me he would refund me but 6 days later, I still do not have my money back. Growing pains are to be expected for a new location but that should not be an excuse for cooking pizzas. I ordered at 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon. There was no one in the restaurant when I picked it up. From my perspective, there was no reason to half-cook and rush out my pizza. Whoever is cooking these pizzas needs to be trained properly. Due to my pizza experience and the fact that I have had to call twice now to ask for a refund, I would not recommend Mizzy's in Carver and would encourage you to try the Belle Plaine location instead if you are nearby. I will not be coming back to this location.

Takeout review, most of the negative was specific to the online order/pickup process, hopefully that gets ironed out soon. Ordered a large pep and bread sticks at 5:27, estimated pickup time of 5:50-6pm, online portal showed pickup available at 5:55. Waited a min or two to see any staff to ask about my order, then was told another 10-15 min. While waiting ~5 other groups showed up waiting for pickup, the kitchen may have been backed up with many orders at once? Got food at 6:09, which lined up with what I was told when I arrived, but would have been better to know when to expect it ahead of time, rather than having to wait in the restaurant. Pizza was good, sauce was a bit sweeter than most other pizza I've had, but a stronger cheese helped balance the sweeter sauce. Bread sticks were good, as advertised, medium garlicky flavor and a pillowy bread, somewhere between a little Caesars crazy bread and an olive garden breadstick. Will come back to try the food again, hopefully the service is more predictable next time

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: DO NOT EAT HERE DINE IN OR TAKE OUT. I really want to give this place a good review. They are trying very hard but failing in every measure. I have done take out and sit down. The take out app will tell you the time to show up for your pizza. It won't be ready and when you ask when it should be ready no one is able to tell you. You can ask where it is in the que (like being made, in the oven, ect....) They don't know because there is no way they track your individual order. This cat and mouse game will continue for 30-60 min. You are sitting in the restaurant for 30-60 min after the app tells you the pizza will be ready. Dumb founded about when and where your pizza will be. No one can tell you an answer. So you wait. Finally you get your order but the likelihood it is correct is pretty slim, but by now you are mad and hungry so you take your order and go home. Dine in isn't any better. It's just as bad if not worse. You sit down and have to wait 15-30 min to be greater by a server. They grab your drink order and come back 15 min later. Don't worry that they don't have the beer you want or the pop you want. So you order again and the clock starts over. Put your order in the sec you sit down. You place your order and then get told it's an hour or so on pizza. So you order an app to hold you over. Nope app never comes or it's wrong or it too takes an hour. We ordered an app and a large pizza. We got a medium pizza and no app. 4 tables got up and just left. The pizza was actually pretty good. I really wouldn't mind having a Friday night family dinner here. The problem is that the servers have no experience, the kitchen is a mad house (I watched for a while waiting for my pizza) the staff is as helpful as they can be, but they know as much as you do. I hope the people who run this place read these. I'm sorry to say to all the people who want to do take out here, but you all are making this place awful. The kitchen and the staff cannot keep up. They need to shut off online ordering, fix the dine in experience, fire their website company, and start take out all over again. I want this place to succeed, but as of right now giving it two chances to be even marginally decent it has failed in the most spectacular manner. Let me clear. It is not the staff it is the owners and management. They do not know what they are doing and are ruining the business and making the staffs life hell. I saw three parties chew out staff and managers because they hadn't gotten the food they ordered over an hour ago and their server was MIA. That is how you fail at business. Please fix these problems. Turn off online ordering. You are not ready for take out. Have people call and be able to provide a realistic estimate on how long it is taking to push out pies. You will lose a lot of people, but the ones who stay will keep coming back. I'll try again after the fall and adjust the scored if necessary. But for right now I can not recommend this place for dine in or take out. Go...

I really don’t understand the hype surrounding this place. The first time we tried it we ordered pizza, one regular cheese pizza, and one deep dish pepperoni. The pizza looked really good and smelled amazing but it tasted only subpar. I think it was the sauce. It was way too acidic and just tasted like generic pizza sauce that comes from a can. For the prices they charge I expected better, so needless to say I was super disappointed. We also ordered bone-in chicken wings and jalapeño poppers. They ended up sending boneLESS chicken wings that did not taste good. The jalapeño poppers, however were fantastic.

Our second attempt to eat here we ordered pasta instead. Usually pizza places have really good pasta, so I was excited to try it. We got lasagna, spaghetti, Penne Alfredo and ravioli. And for appetizers; cheese sticks and pretzel bites. All of the pastas with marinara sauce tasted the same; over cooked noodles with very bland very acidic marinara that had no seasoning whatsoever. The ravioli came with 4 raviolis, even with the size of them, it was hardly a filling meal. And at $12 per pasta you’d expect a good amount of food! The spaghetti came with two meatballs, which literally just tasted like balled up hamburger meat with just a pinch of salt and pepper. Again, no flavor! My dog was the only one that enjoyed eating them. The pasta with Alfredo had a very strange not-so-appetizing aftertaste. Even the garlic toast left much to be desired. How do you mess up toast?? The “Garlic” bread had absolutely no garlic flavor. And the cheesy garlic toast tasted like they just loaded French bread with too much cheese and threw it in the microwave. It was not toasted at all, in fact, it was quite soggy and flavorless. I considered ordering hoagies, but I’m glad I didn’t because I figure they would be much the same, on the same soggy bread with bland sauce. The cheese sticks were not gooey and stringy, they were hard and rubbery, and the pretzel bites were not super great either. The only dish I actually liked were the jalapeño poppers, but I am not going to order from there again just for jalapeño poppers. We spent a ton of money on this place (well over $100) and I expected better food. I’m also not thrilled about waiting an hour and a half for it each time! We were so excited to get a new restaurant in Carver and I’m sad to say it’s one we will never eat at again. If the owners ever see this review, please consider putting more thought into your dishes and adding more ingredients, like SEASONING!!! Microwave pasta from the freezer section at the grocery store tastes better! And is...
