Bojangles — Restaurant in Cary

To start out, my wife and I have always loved Bojangles. My wife is an absolute fanatic, and until this location we have never been disappointed so badly. This was the worst fast food restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. This was our 2nd time here with a similar experience, we figured they probably just had a rough day the first time. Oh how were we wrong, resulting $18 hard earned dollars utterly wasted. I would not waste my time even if they tried to give it to me for free. The manager was literally wearing a sweater that read "I don't care" on the back, which is an excellent preface to how we were treated, which also sadly carried through into the lack of quality of our meal. We ordered a 3 piece chicken tender with fries and a drink, and a chicken sandwich with fries. My so called "tenders" were so dry you could have used them as fire starter, and they were about the size of a McDonald's chicken nugget. The fries were OK at best, cold and dry as well. After a bite of my dry nugget, and an embarrassment of a fry, I tasted my drink which was the icing on the cake- my Dr. Pepper made LaCroix seem like a flavor explosion. It was flat, watery, and disgusting. Ended up throwing my entire $9 meal in the trash after 3 bites.

I wish I could say it ended there, but we haven't gotten to my wife's chicken sandwich. After a few bites, she said that it tasted like a subpar McChicken. Which would be fine if it cost $1.29, rather than $8.50. It was small, flavorless, and otherwise dismal. Fortunately, she got a water so she at least had something edible to choke down her...

I went through the drive through and the girl with long braided hair couldn’t be bothered to talk and had quite an attitude. I ordered 3 tenders and a side. It’s the first time I’ve been to a Bojangles and went though the drive through on my way to get my hair cut in the area. After taking my money, they had me pull forward to where the door at the front was. I pulled up after the car in front of me left. Someone brought the food to the car in front of me instead of passing it through the take out window itself. I waited almost 15 minutes while watching cars behind me leave (they got their food through the window). I can’t imagine that they didn’t have three tenders, so why have me pull forward. That being said, they forgot about me. After close to 15 minutes of waiting (I should’ve gone in sooner…) I went inside and asked where my order was.. a manager handed it to me after someone asked the back where it was. The manager handed it to me…. She’d heard how long I told them I had waited and no one apologized. I don’t like that heavy breading on the chicken. It reminds me of frozen Tyson breaded tenders…They were cold by then and stringy on top of it. The was a measly / stingy amount of mac and cheese that was already cold as well with and layer of greasy oil on the bottom. It was gross. The customer service and attention to detail were completely missing. I wouldn’t go back if someone paid me too. I don’t see what people see in this chain. Just horrible. I went today to get food from here, I was starting to like this place but won’t ever come back. I made an order online to pick up and it was just awful I’m pregnant and have a one year old. They told me I had to get off for my order because it wasn’t ready and I did which I had to carry my daughter inside which I saw my order already there. The cashier gave me a whole attitude and also did this other guy(Hispanic). He kept on telling the lady doing the drinks that it was a sweet tea not a Pepsi. But I thought he was possibly talking about someone else order so they took a while to give me the drink and the food. He then gives me the food and drink, just to make sure it was a Pepsi I asked him and he stood there like if I wasn’t already carrying my daughter and the food and I had to then take out my phone to show him. I really wished they were more kind and changed their attitude when talking towards a customer. Never coming...
