CNS Cafe Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Casa Grande

This is a diamond in the rough! Do not miss out! OK, so the restaurant is in your average, non-descript strip mall in Casa Grande, AZ. But you are in for a real culinary treat! Their Chinese food is delicious, and they will make it to whatever spice level you want, doneness of vegetables, add things, take things out, etc. It is extremely custom for a small pop-and-daughter shop! They get overshadowed by the busyness of the Caesar's Pizza next door, which has a drive-through, but I am telling you: Take the time to park your car and go inside CNS Cafe Chinese Restaurant, and you will not regret it! We've been coming back for months, typically on Sunday after church. My fave is the Vegetable Delight with rice and hubby's is the Kung Pao Vegetable with chow mein noodles. We always get the egg drop soup, "crab rangoons" (vegetarian) and spring rolls (vegetarian) for appetizers while we await the main course, which never takes long anyway. They are open seven days a week, which is truly amazing these days. The owner remembers little details not only about our typical orders and food preferences but also our lives. Wow, just wow. The General's Chicken was good. The chunks of chicken were plentiful, tender and well cooked. The light breading didn't get in the way and the chicken held the sauce really well. The sauce itself could be a bit spicier and maybe a little bit sweeter, it was pleasant but could be a little better, in my opinion. The pot stickers were ok. I would have liked to see them with more color from the frying process. The looked like they came out of the oven but they had good flavor and the dipping sauce for them was good. I would definitely get them again. I would also get the General's Chicken again. It was a good value for the price and I enjoyed it. The young man working the counter was friendly and courteous. So today I went in for the first time . And when I first walked in, it was quiet, which I love the lady at the counter was amazing. She greeted us right away, took our order and then we sat down. Shortly after our food came out. We ordered orange chicken, dumplings, crab angels, and the Cabbage wraps. Everything tasted so delicious and what made the meal even more satisfying is the owner had come out to see how our food tasted because I had asked for a spicier sauce so he told us that next time if we needed something spicier or a little bit more customize it just to let the server know, and they will take care of us overall, it was a really great experience.
