Angus Bar — Restaurant in Cascade

Don't waste your time. This is a fool me twice, shame on me review. We stopped in a few years ago and sat for about 15 minutes with absolutely no contact from the staff, no hang on, hello, eff you, nothing. So we went across the street to the Driftwood and have been faithful customers since. Tonight, the Driftwood was full and we decided to give the Angus a second chance. Never again. We sat in a very hot bar waiting for over an hour before our waitress decided to let us know that the fryer wasn't working and half of order couldn't be made. Prior to that we heard that they were slammed with orders and it would be 20 minutes. Not a word about the fryer at that time, when we placed our order, or when we came in. A little friendliness and communication and we would have just said thanks for letting us know, had a beer, and gone on our way. Nope, you just wasted our time until we called it quits, paid for our drinks, and left. Never again. My husband went to the angus on 8/12/23 and ordered 1 pack of cigarettes. Gave the lady/cashier the money and she brought back 2. He stated he only ordered one pack (yet already charged him for the 2) she stated she couldn’t refund him. ( ok fine whatever, no big deal). Then today 8/13/23 (the next day) he orders 1 pint. She shows him 2 to pick from which he does choose one, gives her the money and AGAIN charges him TWICE before even asking if he wanted one or the other OR BOTH. Then states again she can’t give him a refund! What kind of business is this? Tried to give the benefit of the doubt but this is ridiculous how can you not refund a paying customer???? If you're ever in Cascade, you absolutely have to stop at Angus Bar. It's the kind of place that feels like home from the moment you walk in. Our waitress, Lyndsey, was an absolute rockstar. She was all over the place, somehow managing to serve every customer with a genuine smile. I don't think my coffee cup was ever less than half-full, which is a rare and truly appreciated feat! Her attentiveness made the entire experience even better. Beyond the incredible service, the food is genuinely fantastic. It’s hearty, delicious country cooking that hits the spot every time.
