Ok, ok. I dinged the food to a 4 star. The fries have a crisp that i've had a few times. A 5 star for the comercially fabricated fries, yup still a 5 star on those, I like that crunch. But dang it, lol, we're in Idaho and it's not too dificult to source some fresh cuts with skin on. Burger was a frozen formed and not great, no seasoning or very little. I'll call it as it is, lots of room for improvement there, but the application of it was very good and saved a 2 star rating because of that part. That one comes down to economics for the owner to keep prices where they are; been there, done that. But in all fairness, this wasn't a $30 ticket for 1 burger at a very well known burger place. If you think going to a place that people wait in massive lines to get a dried out biscuit patty is good, this place rates on a scale of 1- 10, this place is a 50. But my $30 burger that 5 people got together and created a chain is pretty good. And if both of these were married, i'd take the 5 people burger and put it on this Hawaiian style buttery goodness bun and fixins. The clouds might part and a dove come down to sit on your shoulder while eating. Service was that hometown, in a good way, etiquette. Cute youngin that was attentive taking orders at the counter. Find that in a Cali or NYC, if they can put their phone down long enough to even acknowledge that you are there to hand them your hard earned money? But us Idaho pukes can raise some dang good kids with values. This place reminds me a tiny bit of that old school diner experience. This is definately old school idaho. Just good people making life experiences for all to enjoy. The small town line was there to order food (always a good sign), and this is just a wide spot in the road. Kudos in rural Idaho. Thanks for the life experience.

This place is a must-stop any time it's meal time and I'm in Cascade. The attraction to the "great beyond" wilderness north of the city isn't limited to the pristine forests and natural beauty, but also the hand made delights at Thunder Mountain Burgers. The burgers were juicy, substantial, and a great selection of fresh veggie toppings, all held together by freshly baked potato buns. The fries were hot and fresh, and the selection of dipping sauces are unrivaled by any burger establishment outside of Boise Fry Company. (Chipotle, fry sauce, ranch, ketchup, mustard, mayo). The shakes are delicious, and they are very accommodating with extra ingredient options to add-in. ( I had an oreo vanilla milkshake with Reese's bits added in). You won't leave hungry with a combo meal like this!

Ok, so we read the reviews online, "best burger in Idaho!" "rivals any burger in the Treasure Valley," we thought, oh yeah, we've seen reviews like these before. We're food skeptics but our burger craving was fierce so we figured, what the heck, we'll give it a try. Guys, this place makes a legit burger! Their fries are amazing as well. Their menu is small, but mighty, all the sauces and condiments you and your burger could ever dream of and fast, friendly service to boot. We only wish they were closer to Boise so we can enjoy one of the best burgers we've ever had whenever the craving strikes. Try TMB the next time you're in Cascade, you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Don't waste your time here unless you like rude service, filthy tables and tasteless burger's! I had heard how good this place is, so my husband and I decided to try it out, last Saturday night. We were going to the movie as well and only had an hour for dinner. I ordered a mini burger with bacon, cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, special sauce. I don't eat burgers often, but when I do bacon and cheese are a deal breaker. My husband ordered the classic with everything I had except no mustard.

We went to sit down and every table that was empty was filthy. I went up front and asked for a rag to wipe a table off. She made a big fuss about and said she'd be out in a bit to do it. My husband said the burger has no flavor so I'd need salt and pepper. So I salted and peppered and added some ketchup and fry sauce because that was not on it. Then I took a bite and bland was correct. So I added some more salt and pepper. Took another bite and noticed no lettuce, no cheese, no bacon just the grilled onions and nothing else. By that time my husband had finished, he sometimes inhales his food pretty fast, thanks to the military. He said he didn't have anything other than grilled onions on his. So I went up front, had to stand in line for awhile. The same lady was there. I told her about my burger and she explained that I couldn't see the lettuce cheese and bacon because of the grilled onions. I said no I've had a few burgers with grilled onions cheese and bacon and have never had that problem before. So we argued back and forth for a few minutes and when I told that my husband's burger was missing all of that too. She told me his toppings would have been between the patties so he couldn't see them because of the grilled onions. I told her he ate it already anyways. I asked if I could just have some bacon, cheese and lettuce. She said no and we argued a bit longer and finally she said she'd just bring a new one out. I said alright. She gave me my cold fries back. My husband said we only have 10 minutes left before we have to leave. So now she comes with her rag in hand to wipe the tables down. Then she came to our table to start the whole argument again. I told her I'm done arguing about this please just leave me alone. She informed me again that all my toppings would just melt into the burger and said oh I bet your fries are really cold now. I asked her to please just leave me alone until my burger was done. She finely walked off. My husband said ok, we have about 3 minutes left. So I said fine let's just go, we don't have time to get our money back. So we left. I will never go there again wich is sad because we have a lot of plans in Cascade planned with 4 teenage grandkids who...
