We followed up our wedding with a visit to Hawkshead and were honestly amazed with how well made every meal we received was. The filet mignon I ordered nearly melted in my mouth and I’m told that every other steak was similar. One of our party ordered the fish and one a salad and both said they were delicious as well.

Though our party was rather large and loud at times, especially with the young ones in attendance, the staff was very kind and attentive. They responded quickly to drink requests and managed to keep us all happy. Couldn’t help but recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in a truly delicious meal!

We are regulars and the food is outstanding and so are the staff! Saturday, June 26th 2021 was our wedding day. We had scheduled to have the ceremony outside by the gazebo. The owner said that if it rained it would be moved under the pavilion outside. At showtime the rain was so hard, we couldn’t even do that.

Greg and his staff let my girls and I use one of his guest rooms upstairs for my girls and I to wait, cleared his entire dining room, set up chairs, and I was able to walk down a beautiful stair case and we were married in front of the fireplace!

We were very disappointed. You have to pay for bread so we paid the $4. All they gave the 4 of us were 2 rolls cut in half. Then we ordered the beef tenderloin appetizer. They gave us 3 crostinis. We said something to the server and she just said “that’s how it comes.” Cmon, there’s four of us, just throw another cracker on since it’s a $21 appetizer. They also got our wine order wrong. So we left without ordering an entree and ate somewhere else. I guess 2 more dinner rolls and a crostini cost them 4 entrees. That’s a great...
