Went here for my birthday. Food: Food was cold, my husband did say something about it and they “warmed it” up so they took it back. I’m skeptical about sending food back so I left mine as is. That piece of meat had so much fat in it and looked gross. He ate around it but left a big chunk of fat aside. I don’t think that’s what prime rib is supposed to look like. As for my steak, I had ribeye asked for it medium well and as you can see it was medium rare? We didn’t touch the veggies that were served with it. We did get loaded mashed potatoes, they were okay. Didn’t care for the salad or rolls they were bland, we were there for the meat which was unfortunately a bummer. I had a cheap wine, which I then noticed I could have bought a whole bottle for the price we paid. My main issue was the steaks, I was really looking forward good food and was really disappointed and disgusted by all that fat on the prime rib. Service: it was okay, not great. The server checked on us a couple of times and seemed to have been very busy didn’t bother coming back. Did seem like everyone was busy serving. Atmosphere: We wanted a quiet space to enjoy my birthday dinner and it was a bit loud it was nice inside though. There was a table we sat next to, it was a big group and they had kids who were sitting with their feet up on the chair, (they were laying on the chair and their feet were up on the back rest). Yes it’s a family friendly place but nobody wants to see feet up while they’re eating. That’s not the restaurants fault but it was still happening there. We did ask if there was a more quiet area to sit at and they did not accommodate for us they said we had to make a reservation for it and we were already there (also it did not look like it was busy on the other side) but we didn’t argue about it. I tried to make the most out of it since it was my birthday but we will not be back to this place, I do not...
Read moreI have been to this business a lot through out my time living here, however this last trip was so over the top amazing, I figured I should finally write a review.
We went to dinner on a Saturday night to celebrate our collected birthdays, so needless to say we went all out. They were extremely busy, so thankfully I made a reservation, however I did happen to notice that even those who did not and were quoted about an hour wait happened to get seated much quicker than that and some even were out before us! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the people up front, who were extremely friendly, polite, and professional. Our server was Cielo, and I can not rave enough about her!!! She was absolutely fantastic. Even under all the pressure of having so many people to take care of, she made us feel like we were the only ones in the entire place. We did not ever wait very long for food or drink. The meal was paced extremely well, we had time to enjoy each course with just enough time in between. She was consistent in checking on us, but was not overly around to cause an annoyance. Incredibly friendly and polite, never once making me feel like an inconvenience, even though we were fairly needy. I sincerely hope to have her again in the future. The food was top notch! Who ever was in that kitchen also deserves huge raves! The food was fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection. Not a single mistake, even under the pressure of preparing food for a full restaurant. The rest of the serving staff also gets a huge rave! They all worked together extremely well to keep all of the tables cleared of used dishes and the water glasses full. You can tell they are a team here and deserve to be recognized as such!
10/10 Highly recommend coming here as I will be returning myself, hopefully for...
Read moreAfter Bernard's passing and most recently Gina leaving in February this restaurant has gone down hill and I can only assume it will continue to do so. This use to be the ONLY restaurant in town my wife and I had fallen in love with. I love to cook myself and KNOW what good food should taste like. When Bernard was the chef in the kitchen the food was always spot on and junior chefs kept in line. Most recently we stopped in on Saturday evening. As far as orders went the rolls were stale, I got a sugar soda instead of diet. After ordering several appetizers which is normal for me one escargot serving all the escargot were rubbery and tough. Their was NO butter in the sockets as though they were baked in their own water content. The second escargot after one bite I could taste that it was spoiled and I ate no more. The beef Maki normally delicious tasted like it was fried in old bad oil giving them a foul taste. I could go on and on and mention the main entrees but they were disgusting. Our waiter whom we know and the busboy did their best to accommodate us which was nice. I noticed a new floor manager who openly greeted and talked to just about every other table except ours and only got involved when we complained and sent back food. My wife had ordered prime rib and got a ribeye steak. At that point we had or entrees had them boxed and prepared to leave. Upon leaving, I observed chefs or cooks as I want to say, wearing no head covers and gloves while touching food. One cook was laughing and joking twirling a dish towel on his finger to the amusement of others standing around in the kitchen. People who once CARED are all gone.
Goodbye, Silver Fox we...
