Rant to Tacos Mexico. (Sorry, it’s a long one) The manager made a post on Facebook and my wife responded in the comments asking if they ever did “kids night” anymore. He responded very quickly with a comment saying he would do a “kids night” for us THAT DAY. JUST FOR US.
That’s awesome!!! We were quite pleased with the offer and headed right there. We went there with 3 adults and one child. Before ordering we told them about the offer and asked for the owner (who made us the offer). We were told he wasn’t working that day. Confused, we showed them the Facebook ad and comments by the manager. We were told they would not honor it, so we quickly messaged the manager who then called the store to confirm he did in fact offer it. So we ordered 3 meals. (One off of the kids menu which was chicken strips) Food was great. Service was ok. Then the bill came and we see they didn’t put the offer on. So we asked about it. The lady told us the kids day offer is only for kids “12 and under” and then gave a look to our daughter as if to imply she was too old. Mia is 11. So we messages the owner again and told him they wouldn’t honor it because they thought we were lying about our kids age. (Which we were not). We asked a working girl for the waitresses name and she told us “nothing”. We responded with “her name is nothing!?” To which we got a smirk and a shrug. The owner responded to us telling us that his ”wife” was just doing her job. We told him we understood that she was doing her job but our daughter was in fact 11. To which he responded that the chicken strips are also not part of “kids day”. (Good to be told that AFTERWARDS) 🤦♂️ So we paid full price. Left a decent tip and went on our way. My wife sent the owner a message telling how much she was disappointed in the service and included a photo of our daughter holding her birth certificate just to show we were not lying. He responded with saying he would make it right in a couple days. Well…. It’s been a few days and the owner has blocked her.

Read moreI believe sharing feedback is very important and it’s even more important to leave tactful feedback so that it is helpful to the establishment. My family went in to have dinner and I ordered tacos. I was very specific when ordering, I notified the waitress that I was allergic to dairy and requested NO CHEESE. She said ok. My daughter ordered a quesadilla with chicken. When our food came out they brought my tacos, WITH CHEESE, my husbands taco and his rice. I instantly notified the waitress that I could not eat the tacos because they had cheese. She took it back, no apology. We waited about 5 minutes and my sons food came out along with my side of rice. About 5 minutes later my tacos came out, with no cheese but my rice wasn’t really warm after waiting for my food. About 3 minutes later my daughter got her quesadilla. She felt it and said she didn’t think there was any chicken in it. I pulled the tortilla apart and there was only cheese, NO CHICKEN. When the waitress came back over I told her that we ordered a chicken quesadilla but there was no chicken. She stated “ok.....there’s no chicken?” I told her no. She then replied “let me go ask the cook if it was there”. I’m not sure what she meant by that but it made me feel like she was questioning the validity of my claim. I told her I pulled it apart and didn’t see any chicken in the quesadilla. She then asked if we still wanted it or if we wanted one with chicken. We asked for one with chicken. A plus to this whole ordeal was that when the cook delivered the quesadilla he did apologize with a smile! Suggestions would be to have food delivered together instead of so far in between each person being served their food. Another suggestion is to train servers to review the ticket before the food is delivered to make sure it gets served correctly the first time around. Last but not least train servers how to handle a customer when food is not up to par once it is delivered to a table incorrectly. Just some food...
Read moreLoved the food and service! We drove into town for the grand opening of the Jeffree Star Store from Kansas. We moved to Kansas about a year ago from Dallas where I was born and raised. 30 years being in Dallas and moving to Kansas trying to find a good Mexican restaurant has been challenge. Of course coming into town we were aware of this place due to Jeffree advertising it on his social media and also having yak dishes which I planned to try. However I didn’t get anything with yak I wanted to try something else. This place is fabulous. The salsa is amazing nice and spicy which I love (in my experience the farther north you go the less spicy things tend to be) and the bean dip with the lard in it omg amazing. I ordered enchiladas and just amazing. Everything was seasoned to perfection. This was definitely what I needed and gave me a little slice of being back in Texas visiting my favorite Mexican restaurants. Wyoming was high on the list for us to move to and we are still seriously considering it. We left Dallas because we got tired of the loads of people moving in. Dallas isn’t Dallas anymore. If we move to Wyoming this will definitely be our go to spot. Thank you for the fabulous food and thank you for the fabulous waitress she was so sweet I wish we could remember her name. Highly recommend this...
