I love roast pork, which in PR it’s a national dish. I’m a boricua born and raised in NY but live here no so I know what a great Lechón should taste like. So I ordered the the combo that included lechón, arroz con gandulees, and blood sausage (morcilla).

So let me break it down a good authentic lechón boricua is cook by charcoal or wood fire and it’s slow cooked for hours which when done the meat falls off the bone. This one is oven cooked and it was not tender.

The rice was ok, for my taste it could use more flavor, the blood sausage (morcilla) the flavor was on point, I did like the flavor what I don’t like is the casing is synthetic not the the actual gut which is the original way they used to use to make them and this is what makes them crispy.

The other thing that really turn me off is the place has a lot of flies moscas!!! I mean a lot a lot. I ate a few bites and had to move to my car to eat the rest.

I read the prior reviews so I was looking forward to a really great lechón so I believe that most of those reviews are from tourist which for them is great but for the people that know or boricuas that know what I’m talking about this needs a lot of work to get there.

To the owners a good commercial fly deterrent is not that expensive and you will get more people to come and keep...

This has become a tourist trap. Really disappointing, they have no idea of what customer services and the food service is. The food was bland and really disappointing, not worth it, pork was bland and bad, chicken too salty, rice with pigeon peas was ok, morcilla was good, sides were ok. The yuca pastel was the worst it tasted like a bad tamal. When my mom went to one of the cashier employees to tell him that it was not good and it didn’t taste like a pastel his response was that it was and they prepare it with yuca and that she can go and make her own and bring them. Mr. Smarty pants can fool tourist but not the locals! Has zero skills of what customer service is. Won’t be returning nor recommending this establishment to anyone. On the other hand the guard at the parking lot does know how to smile and treat people, vey customer service oriented. The prices of the food are...

There's an ample variety of local food that you can mix & match as you order. Quality and taste is random. Roasted pork, which is the main attraction at this place, is hit and miss too. Sometimes you get a nice tasty piece and other times the meat can range from undercooked, cold and low quality to simply uneatable. It's a gamble that you take.

Prices are as if you were getting really delicious gourmet food. Very often these places create a name and fame but then fall into decadence. People keep going because it is a popular place with fairly good access from Hwy 52.

Very noisy, most of the time crowded and full of flies. Hygiene is not the best either.

Some patrons might like this type of ambient and that's OK with me.

I would say save your money to enjoy at...
