I came to this place on September 20. Very first time here and the experience was amazing. First of all the facilities looked very clean and maintained. They have Kiosks were they sell food and beverages. The food menu is diverse and the drinks too. Food quality is good and the drinks were made on point. Prices very affordable. The Kiosks are within short walking distance from the beach so you can go back and forth without any issues. You can put a hammock if you want and there are watersports for an extra cost in a designated location. There is also a volleyball court and a kids playground. There are nearby restaurant that offer good food as well. Since I went on a Friday and Summer already ended here it was pretty much empty. The beach is extremely quiet and the waves break so far away that you can't even see them. You can walk far from the shore and still you won't be fully submerged. The only thing I could say it can be improved is lifeguards and staff presence, I couldn't see anybody from the government around (not saying I was not feeling safe because we were ALL THE TIME) but this could boost confidence specially from tourists. I also went again September 22 with a group of family members and the experience was consistently the same so this is not hit or miss, it will be great for anybody. It's great that the government and local Municipality recovered this place after Maria because this is a hidden gem that many people don't know about and they should definitely take a look at.

Spent a lovely day here. We wanted to experience the Caribbean side of PR. The Atlantic side was too rough to swim. This beach was recommended by one of our tour guides who said he lived in the town of Patillas. The water was very calm, no waves, but there was seaweed not far from shore. No chairs but there were painted cement benches. We found a nice one under a palm tree. There are food kiosks nearby but most weren’t open. We went instead to a restaurant up the street (Mar de la Tranquilidad) and got takeout from there. There were lots of cute stray dogs running around, not aggressive but friendly. There are bathrooms on site. Didn’t see showers. The beach itself isn’t very wide or super sandy. Still, it was a nice day.

Si quieres acampar 🏕️ ⛺️ gratis, este es el lugar. Si quieres conectar con la naturaleza 🍂 aquí NO es, está literalmente al lado del Malecón y hay kioscos y mucho movimiento, la música termina de 1.30 de la madrugada a casi 3:00 de la madrugada, merengue en un kiosko, bachata en otro, sin mencionar los carros con música de todas clases, salsa, reguetón etc… Tienen baños que solo tienen área de lava manos, toilet y cubículos para cambiarte, NO tienen bañera pero al ser balnearios tiene. Afuera unas plumitas que te puedes “bañar”, los baños tratan de mantenerlos limpios pero por lo general el papel se acaba rápido y hay mucha gente que ensucia y se le olvida recoger su desorden. Los kioskos tienen bebidas alcohólicas, jugos, refrescos y frituras, desconozco si venden comida, lo que sí sé es que hay distintos y estoy segura de que alguno tiene que vender comida como tal. Se para una Guaguita de mantecados. Y viendo todo el mundo cierra no abren hasta el otro día me parece que después de las 10 de la mañana así que lleva pan entre otras cosas para el desayuno de lo contrario la panadería más cercana si mal no recuerdo se llama la familia y está en carro a 9 minutos. Queda al lado de la plaza. El agua es tranquila súper bajita pero la arena parece tierra y tiene muchas algas, si eres sensible con lo que tocas lleva zapatillas de playa. Hay muchos cangrejitos pequeños (pero muuuuchos) tienes que tener la caseta de acampar cerrada en todo momento primero porque sino te los llevas para tu casa sin darte cuenta 🦀 y segundo por la plaga, mosquitos 🦟 etc. lleva OFF o algún repelente porque te van a picar aunque te untes imagina sino lo haces, hay demasiada de mucha plaga. Por la mañana es tranquilo, callado y relax. Lleva bolsas para meter tu basura. Hay una malla para los que le gustan jugar voleibol y un parque para los niños. El estacionamiento es bastante grande y hay mucho policía y rondas preventivas constante. Desconozco cómo hacen para los gazebos si los rentan o llegas y los tomas y ya pero tienen electricidad para cargar los cel o llenar los mattress.

It was nice there a young man Puerto Rican man had a hat made of Palms I asked a young man where I could get one and he said the man was running around selling them I asked him how much he said for $2 the young man then took the head off handed it over to me and said you can have it the time I would gladly pay him For it he insisted on absolutely. I was thankful and blessed to see that there's still some good people out there my hometown where I was born Patillas so I am sending blessings to this young man and friend that he was with

I loved it. I'm was an impromptu stop when I saw how close we were to the water. There are bathrooms, free parking, shelters for picnics and plenty of eats on the weekend. No waves so nice swimming. There is a lot of sea grass along this beach but that's what makes it great for manatees. Just find a spot where there is a break in the grass and get on in! Plenty of benches and palm trees to sit in the shade. A friendly local couple was happy to provide insight and a warm welcome.

Bosque Carite is a nature park in Puerto Rico. We visited about 2 years after the hurricane and it has come back beautifully, but some if the picnic structures were still damaged. The little river was very nice and the flora and fauna had recovered nicely. Most of the trails are still there, but some are not as present as before.

Unable to find other reviewers locations to have the same experience. Google sent us to someone's house who was kind enough to direct us to what is the office for the trail (may or may not be active). Area around the forest office looks abandoned. (N18.127633, W66.070220) elevation 1635ft.

Mi opinión quiero realizar la lo más objetiva posible ya que estuve como oficial de manejo forestal por más de una década pero la aportación me obliga a emitir mi opinión con por lo menos una estrella para poder publicar mi opinión y una cosa son los procesos naturales como el paso de un huracán y otros son los del hombre. A la recuperación natural del bosque puedo tendría 2 estrellas, al uso y disfrute del bosque -30 estrellas, al manejo forestal -100 y al respecto del patrimonio natural por los visitantes 1 estrella. El Bosque Estatal de Carite puede recibir comparativamente la 5 estrellas de haberce convertido en el ejemplo claro de la situación del país. En dónde el balance de los intereses de diversos grupos han destrozado la gallina de los huevos de oro sin importarles a ellos los danos actuales, futuro y colaterales

Beautiful little swimming hole, easy walk in. Swimming shoes are advised - it's a rocky bottom in the pond. Some benches, but no bathrooms. When you leave, continue south on 184 for some incredible views!

Cosas muy buenas, otras no me agradaron... Lo bueno....El lugar cuenta con facilidades muy limpias, personal amable, buena ubicación, a pesar de no ser tan grande como otros lugares, tiene lo necesario para un día en familia bueno. Lo disfrutamos!! Lo que no me agradó... Venta de bebidas alcohólicas. (se que las opiniones varían, pero es un riesgo, sobre todo habiendo tanto niño), Empleados que trabajan como salvavidas deben ser monitoreados por la gerencia (no todos) pero ví algunos envueltos en sus celulares y un segundo hace la diferencia entre la vida y la muerte (sobre todo cuando hay niños o personas tomando alcohol) más aún cuando pude constatar que hay muchos padres que sueltan los niños a su suerte y con las piscinas no se puede correr esos riesgos, hubo otro salvavidas que tenía su bocinita con su música (que también sé que esta opinión puede variar) que lo que tenía era barbaridades en las letras y estaba más al pendiente de la música (y los muchachos se zumbaban por aquel lugar como precisamente decía el anterior salvavidas que no podían hacer por seguridad) Como mamá de un niño de 3 años y que lucho para cuidar su integridad, es algo fuerte!!!

Actually the place is perfect for having a good family time. FYI this is NOT Six Flags, the place is small, it has a kids water slides section, a swimming pool and a water jets area, but the good thing is that you don't have to pay $50 per person plus parking, I paid $20 for me and my daughter. There's a "Tiki bar" also in the main pool. Will definitely come back

It was good for younger kids although small. The water slides were fantastic, the Flow Rider was closed 🙄 They had good crowd control and security.

Me encantó! Atractivo y divertido para todas las edades. El tamaño del lugar me da la tranquilidad de sentarme y poder observar los niños desde cualquier parte. La piscina muy buena, supervisión de salvavidas por cada área, la atención en el área de comida excelente, de verdad cumple con todo lo que se necesita para tener un buen Water Day!
