I had 20 minutes to get dinner before I had to go back to work. I ordered a famous star and a large fry. Although the fries are usually nasty unless you request them without salt to make sure they're fresh but the burgers usually pretty good which is why I go. The burger was soggy from about 3x the normal amount of sauce and the fries were unedible. They were lukewarm at best and shriveled up. I ate a couple bites of burger then tossed my meal and had to finish work. I did not call that night because I was at work until 11:00 pm and already running late due to running completely across town for food that i didn't eat. When I called the following day I was told there was nothing they could do about it because from the day before and I didn't have the food to return to them. It's very frustrating to waste my entire lunch break only to throw away $12 which is excessive for a fast food burger and fry but then having to throw away my food without eating it and having to work the remainder of my shift hungry is bad enough. For them to not be willing to replace the food when I had the receipt is just petty. And being made to feel like a liar who just wants free food is embarrassing. The last time I was there to dine in they had closed all but two tables and refused to allow anyone to sit down when there was an hour left before they closed. Customers were standing while eating their food. Of course there was no manager on duty so the employees could do what they want. Very poor customer service and lazy cooks. Read moreCarl's junior is one of my favorite restaurants. I have always loved their food. A few months ago I went to this restaurant and found a line of over 20 people. As I asked where the line started I found that most of them had already ordered and some had been waiting as long as 30 minutes. I waited for 10 minutes for someone to take my order. Then I approached one of the staff. She asked if she could take my order and i told her that some of the others had ordered more than 40 minutes earlier. I told her that I would order if I could get the rest of the people's orders more quickly. Within two minutes they had all the other people's orders in their hands and mine was almost done. I have never had such slow service in my life but I have continued to frequent the restaurant. Today I went to the restaurant and went to the drive-thru where an automated message told me that the restaurant was closed. I asked under my breath why they were closed so early and the attendant heard me and said no we're not closed. I then ordered my food which was a $5 meal that ended up costing nearly $10 to upsize even though they had upsized the similar meal earlier in the day for only $0.99. Then we waited for 15 minutes at the window. As we waited I watched one of the workers filling cups of fry sauce. At one point she licked the pad of her hand and then continue to fill the fry sauce cups. Read moreIf you want one of their famous chocolate milkshakes don't go to this establishment. 4 out of 5 days my family has gone here for shakes at random times of the day but mostly after 5:00p.m. They're always out of ice cream. I asked one of the kids why is this happening because it seems to be a problem and he said "our ice cream quantity was limited". In my experience, go for the food. The food's fine. Just don't take your family there for a quick ice cream snack because your family will get disappointed.
Why I keep going over here I don't understand. I keep giving them a chance and I always get disappointed. I'm sure management has read this but doesn't make any changes. I currently went through there again nine times and twice they only had milkshakes. Do not go over there after 5:00 p.m. any day and waste your time when you want a milkshake because they're always out and I have had several excuses given to me but nobody fixes it. So if management sees us maybe they should check to see what they do at night at 5:00 p.m. because after that there's no ice cream and it's probably because they don't want to clean it. Extremely disappointing and quite frustrating. Today I was told that their morning crew is the one that sets up how much ice cream is used for the day. Obviously if that's the case and this is an ongoing issue the morning crew should not set up the night crew.
