Edit 8/16/225 - Went back tonight as I had such a great experience my first visit but unfortunately I won't be back. I ordered online through Toast at 6:54pm for pick up at 7:14pm. Arrived a couple minutes early and was told they were working on it. About 3 minutes later a family of 4 came in and ordered a take out order. I sat quietly for about 15 minutes and then asked again about my order (now 10 minutes past the time it was to be ready). Was again told it was being worked on. Around 7:30pm, an order is brought from the kitchen, and it's not my order but the order of the family that came in after me to place their order which was more than 20 minutes after I placed my order online. My order had entrees and this family walked out with 2 bags of food. After they left I asked the woman at the counter how they got their food before me. She simply said they are working on it. I informed her that I was now late for an event and I needed to go so I either needed my food or I would need a refund. The phone rang and she proceeded to walk away from me to answer the phone and take another order. This is simply unacceptable. You never answer the phone when there is a customer currently speaking to you. I understand things happen and orders might get missed, but just tell me what happened and what to expect and I can be patient. While the woman is on the phone my meal is brought from the back at 7:39pm with the ticket on it that says ONLINE ORDER DUE AT 7:14p.m. As a business owner, I understand things happen and sometimes errors and mistakes are made but just be honest about it and communicate with the customer. I LOVED the food here on my first visit, but unfortunately the lack of apology, empathy, care, and communication with this visit will make me take my...
Read moreI recently visited Spicy Matka to take juicy Chicken Mandi as to go to home, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet expectations. 🍗 The presentation was appealing, but the overall taste and freshness could be improved. The Mandi rice lacked the rich aroma and depth of flavor that good mandi usually has — it felt a bit bland and under-seasoned. The juicy chicken was soft but not as juicy or flavorful as expected. With a little more attention to the spice balance and texture, this dish could be much better. 😕 In the evening, I also tried their Bonda as a snack. It looked promising but wasn’t cooked to perfection — slightly doughy inside and only average in taste. While the portion sizes were generous and the staff were polite, the food quality, especially the Mandi, didn’t feel fresh or up to the mark. ❌ ✅ Pros: Decent portions, polite service. ❌ Cons: Mandi not fresh or flavorful, average snacks. Overall, a disappointing experience this time — hoping they work on improving freshness and consistency. There is scope of...
Read moreDisappointing Experience Despite "Unlimited" Promise
Visited this restaurant expecting a good time with their advertised unlimited food offer, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfying. While the concept sounds great on paper, the execution was poor.
The biggest letdown was the extremely slow service. Trays were either empty or barely filled, and every time we requested a refill, we had to wait an unreasonably long time. It felt like they were deliberately delaying service to avoid giving the food they promised.
Staff seemed overwhelmed or uninterested, and basic items like bread or curries were not served promptly. By the time we got our refill, our appetite (and patience) was gone.
If you're promoting "unlimited" food, please ensure it's readily available without long waits. This experience felt more like a test of endurance than a pleasant meal out.
Would not recommend unless they seriously improve...
