Abelardo's Mexican Fresh — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

My new favorite Mexican Food Restaurant in Cedar Rapids. I will definitely be back a lot. The food was delicious and I ate so much that it hurt my stomach in the end, but the pain was soooo worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The prices are very reasonable and the employees are very nice. My family will definitely be back. If you haven't tried this place out; your missing out. I asked ‘do I have to pay for nachos and salsa?’ Cashier: ‘you want nachos supreme?’ “I want chips and salsa” —- charges me $3 when they’re right around the corner of the register. Also, “salsa” was chopped veggies. I called to ask if 5 for $5.95 taco Tuesday can be mix and match. Phone said yes. Cashier refused. No number or name request on dine in. Oh my goodness! The chile rellenos topped with white cheese are to die for! Best pork tamales ever! Finished with raspberry and Bavarian cream filled Churros. So great and satisfying. Spices were a mellow blend with no standout bitterness. The Abelardo’s “Lady” was so pleasant and helpful. Lock me in as a repeat customer. After my second visit still rate 5 stars.
