As another described it, sort of a hole in the wall vibe but cozy. The entryway is pretty small and a young man walked up to us and mumbled something that sounded like “youswet inbek”. We clearly didn’t understand what he was saying and he repeated it while gesturing towards the bathrooms. We saw other people waiting in the little alley by the bathrooms and walked back, realizing he meant “you wait in back”. An older gentlemen who didn’t speak much more English asked us how many and we said two. We asked how long the wait was and he nodded and handed us a pager. I repeated more slowly and he said “tweeny, tweeny fi”. Fair enough. They were busy but we were sat in about twenty minutes. We arrived at about 930am on a Saturday and the wait time quickly doubled, the bathroom alley now full with a new secondary line waiting outside. We were sat in a little booth by the window, and one of the seats was broken. Fortunately the waitresses spoke much better English than the first two guys. We ordered waters, an OJ and a coffee. The waitress came back a few minutes later and realized she forgot the coffee. A few more minutes later the coffee arrived but she didn’t pause long enough to take our order so the table that had been sat after us got their drink and food orders in right away. A different waitress came by a few minutes after that and we ordered a veggie skillet and the classic breakfast with NY Strip. My wife liked the veggie skillet, but my $18 NY Strip was about half fat and tasted like it had been grilled on a bed of onions. I quite like onions so that didn’t bother me and I thought the eggs and hash browns were great. The coffee was decent and there were people coming around often with a pot to make sure everyone was topped off. Our waters were never refilled, and I’m assuming the $5 juice doesn’t include refills as nobody ever offered. This small breakfast for two was around $42 before tip. I’m posting the newest menu so you can see how much prices have gone up. We couldn’t find an online menu and the one my wife found through Grubhub or whatever was barely more than 50% of the one we received. I would go back to try something else, especially since the overall ratings stand at 4.6 today, which didn’t reflect our experience. Next time I’ll probably speak Spanish to remove the language barrier and try a breakfast burrito instead of a classic breakfast. My opinion after our first visit is Waffle House is just as good for half the money.

So, I missed my exercise class by like a minute this AM and had not eaten breakfast. So I looked for the closest little Breakfast establishment with a good rating. I have to say. I concur with the 5 stars. I ordered the Sausage Breakfast Combo. I am very pleasantly surprised although, I should probably not be surprised. It did come with five stars already. The food itself comes out on standard Diner plates and looks like a standard American Breakfast, but the hash browns are crisp, the eggs are a perfect over medium and the Sausage is super sagey and not greasy feeling in the mouth. For my side I chose the Biscuit with Gravy. The biscuit is light and fluffy. The gravy is light, milky, and pleasant, although, I would have liked that sagey goodness of the sausage to carry through a little more, but overall a good breakfast experience . The portion sizes here are generous and filling, but you’re not going to feel obligated to carry a bunch of leftovers with you. Also, I felt like a curmudgeon when I stepped through the door. There’s a peacefulness in here that erradicated that almost instantly. I would definitely stop in here again. The food is good and the service is friendly. Can’t go wrong!

We visited on a Friday morning, the host was very friendly and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and it was almost as if she could read my wife's mind while ordering. I had the classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and french toast. Absolutely delicious, the best french toast I have had in a very long time. 8.5/10 rating. My wife had the carnitas skillet. She is a big wimp with spicy food so she added avocado and had the green chili sauce on the side. It ended up not being spicy at all and she wished she had just gotten it on the top. While the homemade tortillas were very delicious, they were almost not needed and the skillet could have been eaten right from the dish. The onions could have been cooked longer, they were pretty close to just being raw. 8/10 rating. We aren't from the area but visit a few times a year, we would definitely come back to this place

Title: A Breakfast Paradise with Unbeatable Service!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am thrilled to share my five-star review for The Egg Restaurant in Highland Ranch, which undoubtedly serves the best breakfast in America. Every time I visit, I can't resist ordering their mouthwatering omelet with green chili sauce, and the exceptional service only adds to the overall experience!

From the moment you step foot into The Egg Restaurant, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff here truly goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and taken care of. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanor create a delightful dining environment that is second to none.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the omelet with green chili sauce. This dish is an absolute flavor explosion! The omelet itself is cooked to perfection, with a fluffy texture that is simply irresistible. The generous filling options available allow for a customized omelet that suits your taste preferences. However, it's the green chili sauce that takes this dish to new heights.

The green chili sauce at The Egg Restaurant is a true masterpiece. It adds a delightful kick of spice that perfectly complements the flavors of the omelet. The sauce is expertly balanced, ensuring that it enhances the dish without overpowering the other ingredients. It's a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs at The Egg Restaurant.

Beyond the incredible food, the service at The Egg Restaurant is truly exceptional. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are always ready to offer recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of perfection. The level of care and attention they provide sets a new standard for service in the breakfast industry.

The menu at The Egg Restaurant offers a wide variety of breakfast options, catering to all tastes and preferences. From classic pancakes to hearty breakfast burritos, there is something for everyone. In conclusion, The Egg Restaurant in Highland Ranch is a breakfast paradise that deserves its five-star rating. The omelet with green chili sauce is a flavor-packed delight, and the exceptional service takes the experience to a whole new level. With its welcoming ambiance, attentive staff, and delectable dishes, this restaurant truly stands out as the best breakfast spot in America. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in their culinary delights!

My husband and I prefer to give our business to local places rather than predictable chain restaurants. However, while the food was OK at The Egg, it wasn't flavorful, it was just food. That's not why I go out to eat. I had an omelet smothered in green chili with potatoes and a biscuit and gravy. Pretty sure the gravy was from a packet mix, no flavor and runny and the green chili, no heat but also no flavor. The omelet while it had meat, cheese and veggies in it, still no flavor. But the food wasn't the real issue, although I would never go back due to lack of flavor, it was their lack of required ADA access into the restaurant that will keep us from coming back. My husband is in a wheelchair, as soon as I opened the door to the restaurant, I was shocked to see there was no way for him to go through from the very small entryway into the restaurant. I thought we were going to have to leave but looked at the single booth like seat and started attempting to move it. About the same time, the waitress came up but just stood staring at me struggling to move this when I said to her, this must be moved to make room for him to get it. She seemed clueless. I'm 64 years old, you were much younger and given ADA access is required by law, she should have taken over? After I said something, she sort of gave a 5% effort to move it but in the end it was me pushing it sideways. They put the booth back after we were seated and I remember thinking, great I'm going to have to move that again which I did in order to get my husband out with no help from them. A simple change out of getting rid of the bulky booths on that wall and put just normal chairs at the tables would open it up a bit more for mobility challenged folks. A chair would be easier to move than the heavy bulky booth. But you also need to eliminate a few tables so that it's easier to get a wheelchair though the restaurant. No way could he have made it to the restroom. I get the desire to have more tables to seat more people because that equals more money in your pocket but it's not safe and pretty sure you are over the CO limit...
