Pizza Place — Restaurant in Center Point

Don’t waste your money!! Since the new ownership the quality of the food is inconsistent and the service is terrible. Unfortunately when the owners aren’t there the “business” consists of a young staff who are unfriendly and seem less than thrilled to be there. Tonight we called in an order for 2 pizzas. One appeared to have been cut while it was very hot- in squares- then maybe melted back together and they attempted to cut it again- in different shapes and sizes- leaving it in a big lump of melted mess. Couldn’t even get a piece out- when I called to let them know- thinking maybe it was a new person, or maybe they didn’t realize this was happening- the girl that answered the phone- KARI- was extremely rude. Her actual response was- “I looked at your pizza and it looked like all the toppings were there- what is it that you think I should have done?!” 😳 I explained that i didn’t think it was her fault…that was not what I was saying at all… I thought that maybe a manager or owner or person that trained the cooks would want to know that this was happening- it definitely wasn’t the quality of food that we have gotten in the past when the owners are there. She said that YES in fact the quality of the food depends on the night of the week and who is working. She proceeded to get an attitude and snotty tone- sarcastic ally saying that “yes- as a server- this is totally my fault and my problem”. WOW. Such a shame to see one of our long standing local businesses turn out food and service like this. The quality of some of the staff seems to be ruining the food and...

Got some burgers, a tenderloin and a taco salad that was 3x the size of my head, as well as some desert to go. Most of the food was good. The owner seemed to be the one cooking in the back all by herself, no gloves, no hairnet and from what I observed and heard from her, is not a very pleasant person in general. Seemed to have a look of contempt and irritation on her face each time the waitress interacted with her. Did not like to see the wait staff being treated that way, I left there feeling sad for her. The portions for the taco salad were a big excessive and the "taco meat" was literally just a fried up hamburger patty that she'd cooked and chopped up, and not well at all...big chewy, blocky chunks of unseasoned hamburger in a queen sized bed of lettuce, tomato, black olives and ONIONS. Did not know the onions would be in it as the menu did not list it among the other added items. Basically ruined my entire meal, at that point I felt like i could taste the bad attitude of the miserable woman who slopped it together unfortunately. It's too bad the meat couldn't have been chopped as finely as the abundance of slivered onions, it may have been edible in that case. The owner/cooks attitude was by far the worst part of it all though. May she learn how to appreciate the amazing staff she has and the fortune of having such an important pillar of the community in her...

We wanted to try Pizza Place out since the reviews seemed to be pretty good. It was busy when we arrived so we lowered our expectations on service but still were eager for the pizza. Well, disappointed on both. We immediately placed both our drink & food order then watched other tables receive their appetizer while ours went missing. We waited 1 1/2 hrs for our pizza which we had to stop the server from giving to a table who had arrive an hr after we did (it wasn’t even the kind they had ordered) & we finally got our appetizer midway thru the pizza. I wish I could say it was worth the wait. It wasn’t. Frankly I’ve had better frozen pizza. There was never even a “sorry” for the wait or the screw up on the appetizer.
