It's been a long while since we've ordered from Paradise Pub, at least a year, due mainly to Covid. Two in the family wanted fish, and I remembered how good the Philly steak sandwiches were, so we decided to order from there. Bad move. From the greeting on the phone, "Paradise. Hold." to the end result it's likely we won't be ordering again. We ordered a fish sandwich which, apparently at the time of ordering, you must ask for a bun and tartar sauce to be included with the sandwich, if you fail to do so you get neither of them. You also used to get a choice of fresh cut chips or (hopefully) a name brand chip, but now that choice is gone. That's a shame because the fresh chips were delicious! Also ordered was a Philly Steak sandwich, I had asked if the lettuce and tomato could be put on the side so I wouldn't have wilty lettuce, the lady on the phone commented that she would put in a "special request". Apparently that request was denied as the lettuce and unripe tomatoes were on the sandwich. An order of $8.00 onion rings were ordered, 6 onion rings make an order. I do understand that prices for restaurant foods and supplies have gone up, however not including the basics with items is unacceptable. Maybe the owners got used to the Shell cracker plant workers being there and paying for subpar food, but those days are coming to an end, those workers are either gone, or leaving soon. All in all it was disappointing. We will probably just stick to Bowser's next time we're craving a good...
Read moreOur first time eating here. I pass this place almost daily. Originally seven years ago I came in with my 6 year old Grandson for a 6 pm dinner. I left without ordering - seemed too much a bar and less of a restaurant at that time near the weekend. This time without grandkids on a Monday at 6 pm - perfect time to try out the food. Seems other families were also here. We ordered a lemon drop and Espressotini. The Lemon drop martini was excellent. Unfortunately they couldn't make an Espressotini. So I settled on a red appletini, it was perfect. We then ordered fried ravioli, 6 wings and a blackened burger well done. First the ravioli and wings were excellent. Please note cooking a well done burger that is not burnt or dry is not rocket science - fast food places do it all day long. However for some reason it's hard to find a juicy, well done, burger that is not charred, outside of a fast food joint. This place provided me the perfect 3/4 inch thick burger patty that was perfectly spiced, juicy, uncharred and the perfect well done. Seriously it was perfect. The fries were also excellent. The service was both fast and attentive. Prices were also reasonable. We will...
Read moreWent here a few times and sat at tables. The service was always disgusting. We sat down and there were 3 waitresses in a circle 20 feet from our table having an apparently hilarious conversation, eventually we had to ask them to come serve us. After that drinks took forever and getting them to come back to check on us or take our orders again required us to seek out our server after a long wait. She then brought us our food, finally and didnt bring silverware or napkins or any condiments including salt and pepper. We grabbed a caddy from a nearby cart and had to ask the bar for silverware. We complained and the bartender gave us a discount and a couple free drinks. We decided to give it another try and met Melissa. Now if it wasnt for her I would've given this place one star and washed my hands of it. Instead we try to make it in once every couple of weeks and sit at the bar inside with her. She usually has our drinks made when we sit down. Takes our whole order from memory and never forgets anything. One last thing is this place is always packed and half their capacity for customers is outside so in the winter, with the shell plant workers up the...
