The Wicked Bean — Restaurant in Centerton

So here’s the situation: I’ve been a faithful customer at The Wicked Bean for over a year. I go almost every morning, same drink, and it’s one of the rare coffees I actually like both iced and hot. I love supporting local spots instead of chains slinging garbage.

Unfortunately, over time, one of the employees has gotten way too comfortable. On occasion she’d make an offhanded comment about my spouse’s appearance — saying he wasn’t what she expected, comparing him to Gomez Addams if he lost a bunch of weight, even asking me not to send him because his mustache made her want to laugh. The vibe came off like she was a little too interested in me and weirdly jealous of him, so we brushed it off as her being young, awkward, and not knowing how to act. Honestly, (aside from being told I look like a Kardashian,) it was the best unintentional compliment intended as an insult I’ve ever gotten. Gomez Addams has always been goals, and 13-year-old me would be so proud.

All that I could overlook, but today the first words out of this employee’s mouth upon seeing me and my 14-year-old daughter (who I’d brought to get a hot chocolate before class) were: “Oh, you’ve got the little shit with you,” complete with a look of disappointment because she wanted to tell me a story.

Cursing doesn’t bother me. I’ve told her that before, as she’s checked to see if my kids were in the car before telling me her stories… But calling my child out of her name because you’re dying to overshare? Hard pass.

So yeah, I’m done with The Wicked Bean. The coffee is great, so if you go, I’d advise you to just roll your window up and avoid unnecessary conversation. Don’t be too friendly, or apparently all professionalism goes right out the window — and you won’t care to...

Haven't visited this one in person. Just ordered some drinks, but my kids absoulutely LOVED their (drinks are from oldest's to youngest's) funky monkey, magic mint mojo, and nutter butter. Couldnt get pictures before they dug in.... My wife's and my drinks were perfect as well wife's wicked zoomers with red bull, mango, peach, pineapple and toasted marshmallow was VERY VERY good. Sounds different and out there, but mmm mmm mmm. Mine was the zoomie smoothie with red bull, mango, pineapple, pomegranate and toasted marshmallow. Again different and out there but absolutely superb taste. Mmm mmm mmm DELICIOUS!!!!!! Wish i could give more than 5 stars. Not gonna lie i sampled everyone's drinks and everyone made the right choice for drinks..... For the pricing it is definitely a place that will be getting future...

Not sure what the owner guys deal was this morning. I've been here many times and always order an iced Carmel macchiato. Today we order same. The man at the window was very condescending by saying "do you want an actual macchiato or a Starbucks macchiato?". To which I reply, "well I don't know. I just want what I always order." He then says, "you want a latte". WHAT?? So he gives us 2 latte's. They sucked of course, like lattes do! Just bland, flavorless, diluted coffee. WE DIDNT WANT LATTES, WE WANTED WHAT WE ALWAYS ORDER!! Iced Carmel macchiatos! We drive 25 mins just to get Wicked Bean and spend around $400 a month on coffee!! His condescending demeanor today, lost our business!...
