Hugo's Restaurant & Catering — Restaurant in Centerville

this is my first review ever and i am actually giving a review on 2 visits the first was an eat in and take out as well the eat in was disappointing but the take out was horrible the antipasta salad which i had to wait for them to build had rotten green peppers and beets on it. the cheese tortellini with a chicken breast was ok but had very little chicken it was supposed to come with a whole chicken breast. so i was very upset i called and spoke to the owner and she apologized and said she would make it right with a free meal the next time I ordered so i gave them another try ordered for pick up the same items as previous and the salad was fine this time but the tortellini alfredo chicken although it did have the whole chicken breast this time was inedible it was over cooked and the alfredo if you can call it that was disgusting. oh and when i picked it up there was no free meal or even a discount i’m sure they never told the manager as i instructed , “Terri asked me to have staff let her know the next time i order”. very disappointing and definitely not worth the price. i will not be ordering from there again. it has really went down hill ....

Not only we were ignored, but dismissed with management. We, my Mom & I are not scum bags that try to get free food. It was her 88th birthday & I made a reservation 3 weeks before or more I mentioned about my Mom's birthday..My Mom has a problem walking. We get there & I had no idea it was a buffet. I said as much when we arrived and was told that I could change my mind. We stayed. Well , the salad bar was just ok, the meat tough ( roast beef), and ham (undercooked), chicken cold. My Mom put her meat in a napkin, I put mine in an empty soup bowl. I inquired about a special treat for her birthday and one of the meat carver boys told us about the case. Well, never got my beverage or anyone asked about how anything was. My Mom was upset, so we decided to leave. I talked to our server (?) and told her about everything, her response was " that happens". I talked to management 2 days later, " she said that what happened was unacceptable. Well, nothing happened ; no refund. Everyone makes a mistake, but do I want to come back in the future? Doubtful. We do not...

I was at the restaurant for an anniversary celebration. I had spoken to the event coordinator/kitchen manager about a special meal, due to allergies. I was assured that it would happen. Fast forward to the event... we are called to the buffet line, and I stay at my seat. I was asked about not getting up, and I state that the kitchen has a special meal for me. About 20+ minutes pass, and another guest leaves the table to speak to our waitress about my meal. It is finally served, not what was promised, and lacking the vegetables. I mention it to the waitress, and she started that there's raw broccoli on the horsd'oevres table. Then dessert is being served, and once again have to ask for the special dessert(cut fruit). Just not what I expected...
