12/15/23 update! Fair is fair and since posting this review I must admit I have seen a complete turn around at this store! Truly hot food, cooked properly, cheerful staff and everything is in the bag and as ordered, also noticed not as many waiting cars anymore either. Someone had a come to Jesus talk up there and it shows. Good job guys abd thank you!
EVERY TIME I go to this MCD its either wait extra time and get old and cold food, which makes no sense, you are that stacked up with orders you would think it would all come out hot and fresh… but NO. OR Something will be missing from my order, like today, I ordered 2 hotcakes and sausage meals and both were missing the sausage, so just counting the items in your bag before you drive off doesn’t mean something isn’t missing. I am always extremely polite to them every time despite my continued frustration and you would hope that would earn you hot fries or correct order or a unmangled burger… but no it doesn’t matter. Not once in 2 years, even when I specifically and politely ask for hot fries, I have never received any from this location. This location is in a rural area, So it’s gonna be 5 to 15 minutes back home for most people. Even trying to eat the fries right out of the bag as soon as you get them they are always still cold and old. I seriously cannot stand this McDonald’s. But the next one would be about an hour round-trip. Not a lot of choices out here, so I guess they can get away with sucking as bad as they want to, Cause really where else are we going to go? I get all the time just take the food back up and they will make it right… If they can make it right in the first place, I’m sure they would but they can’t so me going back. There is only gonna piss me off more and it’s not my job. Today also pissed me off because I figure if I’m gonna get Some substandard disgusting food. I might as well get my Upside points for it. I ordered $27 with a food for family staying at my house for the holidays and they didn’t give me a receipt for Upside. So I just paid full price for extremely overcooked hashbrowns, yet that we’re still cold, hotcakes and sausage, minus the sausage from both of them, one hot breakfast sandwich, two cold, sausage biscuits, old.. A cold, half cup of small coffee, a frappe and orange juice. I am so sick and tired of it. We hardly go there at all anymore, and it’s been better for our health and my patience. However, we have family in town. It’s a lot easier just to drive 15 minutes down the road with my hot bag and pick up a bunch of breakfast sandwiches and to spend half the morning in the kitchen over the stove serving eight people. I really wish somebody would step up there and get their stuff together and get some quality control going. It’s just a disaster. Do better. Oh, another hint I really don’t think that there should be the same amount of big Mac sauce on the burger as there is beef and bread it’s not a 50-50 split, If I wanted to sandwich encased special sauce, I’d order it that way. They really don’t care and it shows and it’s just absolutely...
Read moreI would give no stars but I'm forced to give one star... The Hillsboro, MO, McDonald's has become a typical McDonald's. I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that McDonald's has been on a steady decline regarding quality food for years. Every visit, could produce lousy food, and it would seem that most of the time, you play a game of "how long has this been rotting in a warmer." The truly sad part is that I have heard other customers agree by saying of course it is horrible as if we should be greatful to pay $15 for dreadful food. Possibly, however unlikely, the whole world is aware that horrible is becoming synonymous with McDonald's food. Employees are making more money than ever before, yet customer service is progressively and consistently getting worse. I would presume because of the higher wage McDonald's simply over works fewer employees to compensate for a hit in profits. For instance, this morning I pulled into the two-lane drive-thru and listened to multiple customers place their orders in lane 2. To be clear, I arrived first in lane 1, and no other cars were in line when I got there, which sadly is unusual. As I waited, multiple vehicles showed up in lane 2. I don't know if the person responsible for Lane 1 had fallen asleep, but this has happened before. It had happened three times in lane two and twice in lane 1. Their customer service skills need improvement, and the food appears to have been ruined well before it's served—no more chances!!! I'm through with McDonald's; Quite frankly, I am sick of accepting food that is less than quality. We must stop tolerating lousy food. I hope someday McDonald's will dramatically improve, but for now I am done patronizing this clown. Who I guess...
Read moreWhile I understand that long wait times are not uncommon at this location, my main concern revolves around the behavior of the General Manager, Jay.
During my visit, I observed six other frustrated customers who, like me, experienced extended wait times and had to get their orders remade due to mistakes. The situation was chaotic, to say the least.
What troubled me the most was witnessing General Manager Jay taking a 20-minute smoke break while her crew struggled to fulfill orders and customers were left waiting in the lobby for at least 30 minutes. This lack of attention resulted in four potential customers walking in and promptly leaving.
I believe it is crucial for the General Manager to be present and actively involved in managing the operations, especially during peak hours. This experience has left me feeling disappointed and concerned about the overall level of service at your location.
I kindly request that you address this issue and take appropriate measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. I have always been a loyal customer, and I hope to see improvements in the service quality.
If interested, I would be more than happy to discuss details with the District manager. The GM at this location did not seem to care about her employees and customer feedback.
Thank you for your attention to...
