Beijing Kitchen — Restaurant in Centreville

Giving a 4 star for 1 reason... They do not take anything but Cash. I placed my order over the phone before I got there, so the food would be done for my lunch break. I get there go in, tell them what I ordered... and pull out my debit card and THEN THEY TELL ME... "CASH ONLY"... Basically screwed over my lunch break. 2nd time I went there, I had cash. Ordered the Seafood delux with Lobster, scallops, Crab, Shrimp... Was very VERY good. Much better then I really expected. 1 whole lobster tail in there, 5-6 nice sized scallops. 3-4 shrimp... Imatation crab meat(which I expected to be honest ) And some Veggies... Was fantastic, I was very happy with it and quite delighted. Everything was Hot, Fresh, and very tasty... Again my only complaint is that they did not say "Cash Only" over the phone. That really put me in a foul mood and essentially forced me to go to mcdonalds for lunch which I can't stand.

Half expecting to go there soon and see the IRS ransacked the place lol, why else would you go cash...

Edited to add: See another person's recent four-star review- THEY ARE STILL LETTING METAL BRISTLES SLIP INTO THEIR FOOD. I tried reporting them to the County Health Department in 2022. Very dangerous, multiple incidents now, and they still don't care. From 2022: The food tastes very good and it saddens me to have to write this. There was a metal piece in the beef and broccoli, like something from a scouring pad. This is potentially very dangerous.

Edited to add: I called to inform them of the danger. I did not want or ask for a refund. Unfortunately, the person answering the phone said "it happens"... apparently the metal is indeed from a cleaning utensil. Be careful, folks. I'm glad that this was in my food so I could catch it and not in a child's. I did not find the conversation with the restaurant reassuring... to be frank, I did not feel like they are taking the danger from metal...

Quality of food is average to good but this time screwed up order badly. Shrimp with lobster sauce resulted in a quart of lobster sauce and NO shrimp. Three shrimp egg rolls resulted in one egg roll. Hot & Sour soup was fine. I called to notify them of the error and the counter lady apologized that she must have heard the order wrong "...just lobster sauce and number of egg rolls". FUNNY part was she didn't get it wrong as she charged me for the correct order total I got cheated out of $10 worth of food. Taco Bell, Dominoes next door and now Beijing Kitchen...everybody seems can't do anything right and there is NO value or being cheated for eating out. Time to break out the Yan Can Cook cookbooks next time and...
