Stopped in on our way across Idaho. Restaurant was very crowded and had a great band. Food was good - salad fresh, steak cooked as requested & had a great flavor but baked potato was very small (especially since we are in Idaho).
The room we stayed in was very disappointing - linens and bathroom are clean but floor had not been vacuumed, room not finished as indicated by spilled coffee and dirty cleaning rag on counter. Room has no trash can. Carpet is dark and smelly. We asked for another room, but they were sold out of “clean” rooms. Staff offered to clean our room, but we had already put luggage and our service dog in the room. Staff went to room anyway but my husband had him leave since a guest from the bar was also following the staff.
Light next to bed does not work and window blind was broken allowing others to see inside room (husband put paper towel over it). The bathroom window is locked with a stick. Room was likely smoked in for decades by the lingering old nicotine smell. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Sheets are polyester and stick to you. The commode seat bumpers are missing.
Two wood axes were propped near our room. (odd). There is also a messy enclave with dirt, trash, loose wiring and bug spray.
Worst part of room was the TEN (10) antlion flying bugs we killed and the commode would not fully flush!
We have been told it is newly owned and they are trying to renovate and update. Price for room is reasonable but not for condition.
That is one of the reasons we stayed here to support local business and not big chains ... hopefully they will start renovating and updating rooms soon and see success. We will be anxious to see their future improvements.
We slept ok. Was unable to...
Read moreWent in for the first time excited to try their street taco night special and karaoke! First off, the server was very rude and belittled me after asking what kind of street tacos they had (meat wise?). Her response was what do you mean? They are beef? With a duh face. Then she goes on to say, “Ohh you mean pork? We don’t have that.” I kindly said, “Nevermind, what kind of beef? Like carne asada? She says, “Ground beef.” I said, “Okay, what comes in the taco (topping wise)?” She gets frustrated with me because she didn’t know and asks me if I really want her to go ask. I said yes? At this point, I thought I was being pranked or something. I’ve never had such bad service like this before. What waitress doesn’t know the restaurants’ menu especially the special for the night?? It was bizarre LOL. She comes back and says the taco comes with onion, cilantro, peppers, tomatoes, etc. I told her I will just have one to try them out. She brings out my taco which only had onion and cilantro and was swimming in a pool of grease. Soggy taco was salty and flavorless (no seasoning). Left disappointed with a greasy taste in my mouth and still hungry. From what I observed, she was the only server working that night and maybe she was having a rough day but that doesn’t mean you have to be rude. I still...
Read moreThe place has a good atmosphere, food is okay, but service definitely wasn’t great. I’m not sure if they were understaffed, but it took about five minutes for someone to even acknowledge us to get seated in one of the many open tables. It took another fifteen minutes for someone to grab our drink order (water) that we didn’t get for another ten minutes. At that point the server finally grabbed our order and we waited roughly 45-50 minutes for our food. We ordered a chicken wrap and a burger. We understand that this isn’t a fast food restaurant but I feel that amount of time is a little excessive given that the restaurant wasn’t that busy. The food was alright, but the server didn’t check in with us after—my order was wrong but I ate it anyway. The staff mixed up our order with another table who ordered something similar. Also, I was irritated that a table that came in about a half hour after us got their food(2 burgers) at...
