We go to Chanute, Kansas today to do our grocery shopping. Hubs is hungry so we try to find a place to get a bite. There are not many choices over there but we drive by Pizza Hut and decide we will go there. We walk in and wait to be seated. We are the only ones in there mind you. She shows us a seat right by the door. We sit and wait. 3 young college boys come in and she bounces over there to seat them. We wait. She bounces to get them their drinks and skips back to them. We wait.
She flips back to their table and takes their order. We wait. Hubs finally goes up to the counter and asks if it would be possible for us to get our order taken. 20 minutes after getting there!! The manager sends the girl out to us. She takes our order. We ordered a sandwich with wedges, a calzone and an individual order of cheese sticks. We wait. She takes the 3 boys their order. Then bounces back to make sure they are filled with drinks. She finally comes out and places a basket containing 4 1/2 wedges and and asks if ketchup is needed to which the answer is yes and she walks away, bringing back a bottle that is empty.
We wait. She is still tending to the boys. Refilling and skipping back and forth for them. We hear her ask them if they need boxes. I hear the manager tell the waitress that she was supposed to take the wedges out WITH the sandwich. She brings out a huge order of cheese sticks. I ask her what on earth does a full order look like because this is huge and we only ordered an individual order. She looks at me like I am stupid and demonstrates with her hand that this IS an individual order. An individual one on THIS side and an individual on THAT side. I said that is not what we ordered. She walked away. I see the manager carry a plate over to the out counter and the waitress asks what that is. She tells her that it is the sandwich.
The waitress is still out flipping around with the boys. She is boxing their stuff and they get up to pay. They are at the counter and the waitress goes out and buses the table. Still no order for us. I am biting my tongue. The boys pay and leave. Keep in mind that still, we are the ONLY ones in here. Finally, she goes up and brings out the sandwich and plops it on the table. I told her that it she should have brought it out BEFORE she bused when the manager told her that it was ready. I told her that the service that we have received was unacceptable. She just looks at me and says "sorry" and walks away. We wait. (still haven't received the calzone)
finally, she brings out the calzone. We are so irritated by this point. Hubs tells her that we just want to go. She asks if we need boxes then. I said yes, we do. She brings them out and I ask am I going to have to pay for the mistake she made with the bread sticks. She says "no, I will take that off" and hands me the ticket.
I look up and see the manager standing at the register and ask her if she is in fact the manager. She says she is and I tell her that we needed to talk to her. She comes over and asks what the problem is. So.....we explain it to her. Telling her how poor the service is and how disappointing it has been. She makes the excuse that the girl is new. Then says that the girl never waits tables so is not used to it. We told her that the bottle was empty. She explains that the girl probably didn't know. We told her that the girl NEVER came and saw to our drinks or anything. Nor did she bring our stuff out like she should have.
The woman apologized and declined our payment. Good thing too because I was not keen on paying for such cruddy service.
To be honest, we will NEVER be returning. It seems we went there a year or more ago and received the very same service. You would think that we would learn. We have now I tell you!
Chanute Pizza Hut service stinks. Slow and uncaring.
Lost our money and patronage. By the way, I only gave it ONE star. Not even sure they deserve that. Too bad there isn't a negative 1 star. I would have marked that...
Read moreDec, 28, 2016 @ 6:05 pm I called and place our order, the call center pickup because our town (Chanute Ks.) was very busy they told me it would be 50 mins, called 7:19 was told many times it would be 15 more mins. my call times...7:40 (49 seconds) hung up, again 7:54 ( 1 min 30 secs) once more it is on the way give it 15 mins, again 7:56 pm, another hangup...finely 8:08 the pizza boy come..FOOD COLD, 16 PIC. HOT WINGS AND 2 MED PIZZAS, I called the call center was told to when the deliver guy got here for a discount, ( must say the young delivery man was very nice ) however the call center was rude..I had them on speaker phone I also told them I had them on speaker....I get a man that's rude, he just right out and said " well she aren't getting it free" yes he said AREN'T I was not rude, hateful or use any foul words ...he said rudely, I was only getting $10.00 off (28.89 total) so he sent me to another lady she said I was only getting $5.00 off and then she says I want to send you to my supervisor, I stop her and said NO I've had enough I've been patience with everyone!!!! I said no I'm taking the $10.00 off and I'm done with this mess, I've waited for 2 hours for my food..she even wanted me to just drop my order and give it back to the deliver boy, I'm like lady we've waited well over 2 hours for supper and I hung up...I took the 10$ off the bill and said to the young man, I thank him I also told him this was not his fault for he doesn't make the schedule...it all comes down to poor management...he was the only driver because the other quit today but yet can't get anyone to fill in.. that says also poor management...why was the mrg. or even the ass. mrgs come in??.. to let it all fall down on ONE driver!! The bottom line is..our food was 2 hours late, cold and I don't no if another 15 mins I would of held out for....but the DELIVER MAN YES I TIP HIM WELL...ALMOST TO WHAT I PAID FOR COLD 2 HOURS LATE AND SOME RUDE PEOPLE...I DIDN'T GET HIS NAME...if you read this young man, thank you for your kindness...thanks Deanna Snyder the 2 stars, .5 for the food...the other 1.5 is for the young man!! maybe I just may give Opies, or Casey's convenience store, pizza a try!!...till Pizza Hut gets it together!! hello..knock...
Read moreThis Pizza Hut is getting ridiculous. Every time I place an order when the delivery person shows up they inform me there are no wings. Has happened 4 times in the last year. Nobody bothers calling to let me know they don’t have any wings available. So tonight I order a big box that comes with 2 pizzas 5 breadsticks and 6 wings for $19.99, I also order a individual order of 12 piece wings that is $14.99. The delivery person gets here and of course no wings I said I am not paying $43 and she said ok when I get back I will get it changed I asked her to call me to give me the final amount. She calls and says the total is $34. I told her that is not correct. So they proceed to try and fix it first they offered me some pasta and the total would be $27 I said no thank you we are done eating I will just pay for what I got but not $27, so she does some more and she comes back with a total of $28 for what I got. How is it that my total is $27 with what I got plus pasta but with no pasta $28!!!!!!I ordered a pizza box that cost $19.99 and didn’t get my full order I should not pay over that price. After 30 minutes on the phone I finally get a total of $17. If you can’t do logic or math find a different job. The manager is in the background the whole time and she is going with what this girl says on the total of $27 and $28. Finally I asked to talk to her and explain once again I should t be paying over $19.99 when I didn’t get my full order. She was rude and you could tell she did not want to deal with the situation.
