The ambiance is intriguing. While the food was definitely great, the price compared to quantity/quality wasn't. Not pictured are the chili cheese dog (so very disappointed, taste was fine but should've been $1 instead of $3.60 based on how sad this little thing was) and the banana pudding shake (I will dream of this, and absolutely be back for more of their shakes). Pictured is the double cheeseburger ($7 and this was great, bun was grilled and kinda crispy which really added to the fresh patties. 10/10 nostalgia) and the philly cheese steak basket ($10, super fresh, was greatly disappointed by the small tray of fries and the cheese has the fake processed Swiss flavor, I couldn't stand it. I would avoid the plates and buy items individually) All together we spent $30 on a medium shake, hot dog, cheeseburger, some fries and a sandwich.

Was leaving town on a Sunday, and I wanted a slaw dog for the road. Unfortunately, most hot dog places in Charleston are closed on Sundays, but not Huskeys. This spot is close to my grandmothers house, so I have been going here since I was a kid. The prices are higher than they were in the 80s, but the food is pretty much the same. I got a slaw dog with fries, and my kids got burgers. Everything was delicious. The fries were crispy and crunchy. The dog had a good chili and cold slaw with a bit of a crunch. My kids had no complaints about the food, which is saying something. I loved it and would def recommend this little stand for a good little lunch.

Not being from the region we stopped to get and “English-Style” hot dog which was a hot dog on a griddled (New England style) bun topped with chili, coke slaw, and chopped raw onions. There might have been mustard also. This hot dog was amazing. Please do yourself a favor and pick a few up.

I lived just a few houses away for years, but waited until I moved to another section of town to try the food. Wish I had tried earlier. Hamburgers were excellent as well as the fries. Several visits later had the best hot dogs from a restaurant anywhere in the Southern part of West Virginia. Very small indoor seating and no outdoor seating. During busy hot summer days standing in line to place and receive order as well as having to place to eat if inside is closed, makes it inconvenient to stop. Limited parking on site as well. But the food and service is worth the wait and any...
