First off this place is a hidden gem in Charlestown, Indiana. Normally we make quite the drive for decent Indian food but moving forward, we have even better in our neighborhood. Everything came out hot and delicious. My girls, 5 & 7, tried a little bit of everything and found their favorites. The portions are perfect and we order quite a bit of dishes as we wanted to try as much as possible. The family running the restaurant/market are the sweetest and nicest people always checking on us and even gave a sweet treat on the way out which was so delicious. The butter chicken is a dish I used to have when I worked in the hospitality industry down in Orlando, and this one reminded me of late night work eating pure comfort food with the perfect amount of spice. Chicken 65 is a must and will be my new go to for a quick meal on the way home. This was a huge hit with my family. Eagerly awaiting the next family dinner to go...
Read moreIf you are in Charlestown, IN or going through Charlestown and you are in the mood for authentic Indian cuisine, you MUST stop here. You get a great deal of good food for a fair price. Lebrang is located within a Sunoco gas station. Not a lot of table space. A place for 4 to dine in and 4 to dine outside. While having our delicious food, several patrons were ordering takeout. So it seems their takeout is what they do mostly because of space. The owner was also our server bringing all of our food out. He threw in a couple of different foods (breads) for us to try as well. Try the combo Chicken fried rice, chicken 65 and Nimki. Very slight heat from a spice standpoint. Good value too!! My good friends had Chicken Tikki Masala with white rice. I got to sample a little bit and I attest that it is very tasty. One of those friends ordered very...
Read moreI do eat a lot of variety of foods, but never really ate indian food. Then they put a restaurant in a gas station, and the whole thing seemed unusual. Didn't try it for a year. Let me tell you - I was missing out. The food is fantastic and the portions are really big. We do takeout once a week and typically get a serving of biryani, a serving of one of the curries, and some naan bread. Those are just our favorite but we have tried other things like the butter chicken amd komsho and it is all good. The biryani for $14 gives like 5 meals and reheats well. They are also super nice. The front desk guy who I believe is the owner told me his goal was to introduce a new community to indian food. They are doing a great job and it seems like they have more people coming in and.out for...
