Corner Cafe and Catering — Restaurant in Charlotte

Love this place for breakfast. and occasional lunches. It is a five star diner-not a five star fine dining, but you get your money's worth. Serving sizes are good, taste in general is great. The breakfast special includes coffee and juice as well as a choice of 7 different meats along with eggs, starch and bread, homemade biscuits or a choice of breads. There are things I like better than others, but it is really nice to get inexpensive food that is not just deep fried whatever. They have grilled chicken tenders, griled fish, all kinds of sandwiches and a nice selection of salads. They make a New York Chef salad that I crave. What is really nice is that my husband can get his burger selection or, gravy laden meats and fried foods if he's in the mood, and I can get healthier options. Sercice is always good. Our favorite server is EG. OHHH and if you need a baked item for a special occasion, the owner's mother Faye makes amazing cakes, pies and cheesecakes at fair...

Long term customer. In the past few months, service levels have been in the cellar. Generally, I pickup breakfast on my way to work. But, at an increasing rate, they have been getting my orders wrong. Of course, I don't find the errors until I've left, which is too late to correct. It really shouldn't be difficult to check the orde, as its bagged. I can't reasonably check it during p/u, as tyey pre-toe the bags.

As a long term customer, it's saddening to say...shop elsewhere. There are too many other dining options that care about...

If you are looking for breakfast restaurant near Carowinds, Corner Cafe is the best spot! We didn't regret trusting the Google reviews this place had. We got marinated Greek tips with a side of bean and corn. The meal was great, and plate was big as well. Also, cold salad plate was delicious. It was served with potato and chicken salad and coleslaw. With crackers it was even better. And our waiter Teresa was so friendly and made our day. Thank you so much...
