This experience took place about two years ago. A few of my friends and I had just left Scarowinds and it was about one in the morning. We decided to drive to a Waffle House down the road. First thing we noticed upon arrival was the group of middle aged men sitting on milk crates outside. We passed the group at the entrance, and when we entered, we noticed the short staff. The lineup was nothing short of hilarious: Tattooed cook who seemed a bit "antsy" and a larger woman who was the chief watress who had quite the attitude. We noticed that the two were complaining about the trash and how it needed to be taken out. We offered to take it out, and without a second thought, they opened the door and handed us the trash. As we exited the building via the back door, we noticed a bucket of an unknown, thick substance. It seemed to have a jello-like texture, but was definetley not jello. As we approached the dumpster, we noticed used needles lying next to the dumpster. We hurried back inside and were seated. After placing our order, a man who seemed to be familiar with the staff walked in. He came in, ordered, and sat down next to us (there are no other customers in the building). We decided to hop on the juke box, and we played Old Town Road. The staff, along with us, enjoyed the song and were dancing. The other guy, on the other hand, didn't feel the same way. He proceeded to pull out his phone and play mariachi banch music on his phone. Soon after, a few women from the gentlemen's club across the street waltzed in. One of them was six foot seven, give or take. She stood in the back in her fluffy sandles, wearing a extremely short skirt. She had a huge tattoo of Obama's face on her thigh. They somehow managed to get their food before us, but our entertainment soon followed. The larger lady put food on the counter that she claimed was ours. We took it, believing it was ours, and we payed. As we were exiting the building, the man who played music on his phone ran out the Waffle House screaming that we had his food. Turned out, it was indeed his. We re-entered the Waffle House, got our food, and went back to the car. As we were backing out, the man with the music, walked out behind the car and almost got ran over. He proceeded to yell "Hey it's me, Tony!" That was the end of our experience. The food was mid, but the entertainment...
Read moreAfter an Uber to the Westinghouse Waffle House, I waited for almost 10 minutes inside the empty restraunt for staff to greet me. It was apparent they were busy so I patiently waited. Eventually, the waitresses greeted me and asked what I would like to eat. After taking my order, she and the cook mentioned that they are only doing To Go orders and that I have to wait outside. I explained I Ubered there and have no where to wait. They seemed fine, at that point, with me waiting inside until the order was ready.
While waiting, I noticed the cook continously insult and criticisize the waitress on her performance. "Can't you put the tickets in order?", do this, do that. He was extremely demeaning and treated her horribly. If I were her, I would have left.
After the food was ready, I thanked them both for everything and told them they are doing a great job. I proceeded outside with the order to wait for my Uber. Noticed a chair outside and took the opportunity to sit and wait there. The Uber was 20 minutes away so I started eating while sitting there.
The cook came out, (around 10 minutes after I started eating) irate and told me "it's To Go only you have to leave". I explained "My Uber is on the way I'm just waiting for it to get here." He said "You have to go."
I told him "I am not leaving, I paid for the meal and this is the address I provided for them, they will be here shortly". He became increasing difficult and told me to "Get the F out of my chair and leave". I reiterated that my ride was to arrive shortly. He ripped the chair out from under me. He then proceeded to try to fight me. I told him to call the police.
After some patrons inside successfully got him to go back inside, I sat back down to wait the few more minutes for my ride. When I sat down, I noticed through the window he went crazy running back around the counter to come outside. The patrons had to intervein to get him to stay inside.
For clarification, I had to stay there because my phone died during the course of events and my Uber had only that address.
I noticed numerous cameras both inside and outside. I have filed a police report and will provide all necessary footage and documentation for...
Read more⭐ If I could leave zero stars, I would. We were served by Nova, and from the very beginning the service was extremely poor. She was cold, unfriendly, and barely spoke to us. The first words she said were simply, “separate checks or together.” After we said separate, she just stood there silently—no greeting, no “what can I get you to drink,” nothing. Because of this, half of our table didn’t get drinks until after the meal was already finished. My son didn’t get the chocolate milk we ordered until nearly 20 minutes later, after we had to ask again—by then, we were genuinely worried he might choke eating without anything to drink. When it did arrive, it came in a cup without a straw. At that point, we didn’t even feel comfortable asking her for anything else. Her attitude made us feel completely unwelcome. She did not check on us, never once said “thank you” or “have a good day,” and gave off the impression that we were a burden rather than paying customers. To make matters worse, we watched another family wait in the entrance area for about 15 minutes before anyone even told them they could sit wherever they liked. This was by far the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant. If this is the face of your business, it reflects very poorly on management. Nova should absolutely not be in a...
