Las Megas Tortas — Restaurant in Charlotte

I came in to this restaurant during lunch time on Friday afternoon . They followed social distancing guide lines !!! First time eating here and was highly disappointed . The restaurant has good reviews and I am not sure why because for my first time eating here there was a lot to be desired ! The waitress kind and helpful offered me the special which was breaded chicken (Milanesa, pollo empanisado) side of yellow rice and beans , warm tortillas . (No salad ) asked for some avocados which were really good . The Chicken was super bland ( No Sabor) the beans had no salt which is fine but there was no seasoning at all , rice was ok maybe the best on that plate . Let the waitress know I was not happy , mentioned the chicken had no flavor she said that how bread chicken is😱🤔 which by the way if you have had pollo Empanisado correction no it is not meant to taste bland , all it was is coated in bread crumbs no spices at all . I have had mexican food before smh this was not it !!! I could not even continue to eat my meal , my food had no flavor, changed my plate to a $14 plate at that Carne asada (Steak) with sauteed onions (caldoito)=broth beans and yellow rice this time they forgot my avocado :( The steak was cut in pieces and so tough not tender at all , the steak must of been small because it was a fee pieces , the meat was in a broth had pieces of tomatoes seasoned well with salt . Nothing worse then leaving unsatisfied and hungry , Idk if Id return . I expected more and I think they could do better ! Someone else came and offered the special just when I took a bite of my breaded chicken , I desperately wanted to tell him no son...

Writing a 4 star review, We wish we could do 4/5 but of course it isn't possible with the Google Maps system, Service was amazing, The lady was very nice from the beginning of our meal to the end of it, Of course she was nice all the time, We'd just like to say that the actual meal itself is it's a good PRICE & better SIZE than the what we'd expect for such price, We always come to this area, It's not just like Hispanic foods, They have burgers, Philly cheesesteaks and so much more! We love this place and we will be coming back, I do very much recommend this place when looking for...

I don't know what happened to the original owner... But he needs to get his restaurant back. I don't know what is different about the food I think it just tastes different. Don't taste the passion in the food anymore. The quality and flavor are even completely different. And this place is carrying over the reviews from the previous owner. That's like false advertising because this place is nothing like the original senior taco. The food seems more processed and less homemade, even that salsa Verde and salsa Rojo tastes like it's from a can...extremely...
