Went to Lotus Cuisine II tonight on a whim as I was shopping next door at Harris Teeter. This was my 3rd time ever ordering from this restaurant. Walked in, placed my order and added $2 for a drink as I saw they had a Pepsi cooler. After paying, I go to the cooler and there is no Peps or Diet Pepsi....just water, apple juice, and a couple other non soda options that I would rather not have with chinese food. Then I recalled this happened to me before a couple months ago at this location....so I mentioned to the lady behind the counter that the drink options were scarce, and she said they "ran out". I almost went back to Harris Teeter or CVS to buy a Pepsi or Coke but decided not to. Remaining options in the cooler were water, apple juice, diet mountain dew, diet green tea.
With that said....the main reason I write this review is that I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, brought it home, and it was bland and rubbery. I was a little bummed about the drink options, but I was really displeased and ended up tossing out my food....just plain and simple it was not a good experience overall.
I live pretty close and had hopes this might be a reliable go-to, but I have serious doubts and I'm not likely going back and will look for better options even if it means a...

Ordered a #6 Kon-Bo chicken lunch combo. Everything was cooked well, but the chicken was tender and had a good texture it was both bland and lacking in heat. Fried rice was somewhat dry and egg roll, while fried perfectly, had little flavor too. Finally, peanuts in Kon-bo had an aftertaste that I felt shouldn't be there.

They gave away my order as evidently it was confusing that an order for a family of four (my order) was the same as an order of a single bowl of soup. They laughed at their error. Then told me my food would be ready in about 20 minutes and I could wait. Offered no apologies or compensation for the inconvenience due to their error, but I was offered to pay full price and wait an extra amount of time.
Walked out at that point and clearly won’t be placing any orders...
