Excellent service, and the food came out fast and hot. I went on a Saturday and was told that breakfast is served all day that day. My main complaints were that it was quite hot indoors, and the large fan that was blowing air that day was very loud. I also found the 5 different menus a bit disorganized, but I guess it's understandable if they update them each day and keep them up to date on their Facebook page. I ordered a some fried okra and a slice of their traditional sweet potato pie. The fried okra's flavor was sour and salty. It's flavorful enough that it doesn't need any sauce, but the sauce gave it some nice creaminess. The sauce options I was given were regular ranch and spicy ranch. The slice if sweet potato pie ($2) was delicious and served piping hot. The filling had an almost fudgy texture, and the crust was perfect--it had a subtle sweetness and wasn't too thick.

Good food and good southern hospitality! The thing that was more impressive than the food was the customer service we received from the "one man band". The young man who served us was working alone. He was the host, our server, the cashier, and the cook. And he did it all with a smile! He even sung happy birthday, beautifully, to one of the ladies in our party. This was a good stop after a hike through Providence Canyon. There's an ambiance of weatheredness. The aged facility knows the food will speak for itself. We will definitely visit again. If you have a large party, I recommend calling a couple of days ahead to ensure they can staff appropriately.

We found this place traveling back from Florida to Douglasville. We are so glad we stopped. The building was dated but the food and service here are what most restaurants can’t match. We got the “meat and two”plates and the collards were the best we’ve ever had and so full of flavor. The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. Chicken tenders were crispy outside, tender inside and the honey mustard was outstanding. The chef came out to meet us and thanked us for stopping. Such a nice family to have lunch with; her daughter was the server. We got the red velvet cake to take home. Stay tuned for that review. We can’t recommend this place highly enough.

We found this wonderful restaurant on our way back from vacation. We saw it on Google Maps, and the name intrigued us so I asked my wife to find out what it was. Google Maps kept adding this as a stop, as if we were destined to find this small, unassuming building that contained food from heaven itself. If you're looking for some of the best catfish and collards in the whole Southeast, then look no further. I highly recommend their sweet potato cornbread as well. It's a sweet cornbread that melts in your mouth and will make you wonder why you didn't order some to go. I know we wished we had ordered some to go, but we will certainly be traveling back through, but probably not soon enough, for some good...
