Nooga Q Smokehouse Grill — Restaurant in Chattanooga

I wanted to love it! Prices are extremely reasonable. I ordered the brisket and ribs. The brisket, although it said sliced was actually just chunks. Unfortunately, neither of them tasted anything like smoked barbecue. They tasted like they had been boiled in water. Absolutely positively no seasoning whatsoever. I actually spent $40 and threw away more than half of it. Didn't even keep it for leftovers. It's really heartbreaking because the girl that helped me was super sweet! The food though, terrible. Have you ever had ribs on a Chinese buffet? That's what it tastes like. No smoke flavor, no blackened charcoal look, nothing. The brisket tastes exactly like if you put a beef roast in a crock pot with just water and cooked it all day. I hate to leave this bad of review but I do want people to know before they go. I don't think that this food is actually smoked is the problem. I didn't see a smoker anywhere. I didn't smell a smoker. It just tastes like...

Very disappointed in my second trip here. I got the combo plate, and they were out of ribs so I subbed brisket. They warned me it would be an up charge and I understood, but my plate consisted of a couple shreds of pork, chicken, and two of the thinnest slices of brisket that could possibly be cut. This wouldn’t have bothered me that much, but my food was also cold to the touch. I ordered for takeout, but I ate in my car on my way home so there should be no reason for everything to be cold. My fried okra was crispy but undercooked to the point it was so chewy I wouldn’t easy it. My girlfriend got a burger, and compared it to her middle school’s cafeteria slider. I will give credit where credits due, the Mac and cheese and fried pickles were good, but not nearly good enough to spend $40 on bad bbq. Well today I decided to try this BBQ joint at first glance very little establishment parking is extremely tight because how the building is position and where the drive-thru is and the location I tried the pulled pork with two sides and I'd have to say same the only thing that is saving this was the potato salad the barbecue baked beans or over sauce the barbecue or pulled pork was lackluster to say the least it lacked flavor I've been to a lot of barbecue restaurants where you can taste the smokiness within the barbecue and there was obviously no presence of that smoking this and this barbecue I thought it would be better but I was sorely disappointed that is the reason I am giving this a two piece rating because I don't fly without that smoking this flavor within my barbecue now come on now come on nooga Q you got to step your game up with the barbecue as far as adding flavor that's...
