Waffle House — Restaurant in Chattanooga

The only reason it even got 1 star was bc it made me. I understand it's Christmas. I get it. The whole reason I sent my husband inside and I sat in the car. That's why when it took 45 minutes for our order I didn't complain. The problem was when I got home to eat my food. First of all, when my husband asked for hot sauce packets they handed him a bottle of hot sauce without a lid. Needless to say we threw that unsanitary thing away. As remembered that he forgot the ranch that I asked for(that's amazingly on him and not them) he remembers they didn't give him his change when he paid. We both had hash browns the same way, chili, cheese, ham. The chili was just MIA. I had ham on mine, but we have no clue what was on his hash brown. My mayonnaise packet had two holes in it. Again, unsanitary. We could've seriously injured someone with the rock hard burger on his patty melt. When I picked up my sandwich to eat it(it's a BLT) it completely fell apart. I mean the bread just crumbled. It's safe to say we won't be back to the waffle...

Usually one of my favorite waffle house locations. Not today. They were understaffed. There were only two workers on duty. Understandable... But my wife and I dined in. We were the ONLY patrons in the restaurant. The waitress was just sitting in a booth with headphones on when we arrived. We placed our order and explained to her that we would have a to go order when we were finished. She informed us they were short staffed and therefore didn't "have the stuff we need to do to go orders". What stuff?? To go plates? You literally cook the food and stick it in a to go box. You don't even have to refill a cup. (We didn't get refills either btw)How hard is that?? Especially since they were not busy. There were absolutely no other patrons there. My bf and I came in on Sunday at 12:30am, technically that would be a Monday 10/23/23. We were not acknowledged at all. We sat down in a booth. Waited 15 minutes nobody came to our table. The guy that was taking orders took two separate customer orders that came in after us. I kept thinking he was going to let us know that he will be right with us to take our order but nothing. After waiting for that long we got up and left. That guy that was the server didn’t even look at us. Kept talking to the two girl customers as we were leaving. We will never go to the Signal Mountain Waffle House again, or any other Waffle House for that matter. Why stay opened 24/7 if you allow that kind of treatment of your customers.
