🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A must-stop for every traveler! We just had a fantastic lunch at Rice Boxx and honestly — everything was perfect from start to finish! We ordered: • Hibachi noodles with steak • Volcano roll • Tuna spice roll • Tropical roll • Cashew chicken • Pad Thai Every single dish was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The vegetables in the cashew chicken were perfectly sautéed — crisp, not overcooked, and lightly seasoned to let the natural flavors shine through. Not too spicy, just balanced and delicious. The sushi rolls were outstanding — each one had its own distinct character and flavor. Bright, flavorful, and beautifully presented — not just thrown together like in some places. Service was quick and genuinely kind — everyone we spoke to was polite and welcoming. The atmosphere felt authentic and calming, with soft music and a cozy little fish tank adding to the relaxed vibe. Honestly, it felt like we were having dinner at a friend’s house — warm, casual, and comforting. Highly recommend — this was such a great stop on our Florida road trip!

They offer a combination of Thai, Chinese, hibachi, and sushi. I don't recommend getting Thai or the hibachi here because it just isn't that great if you've ever had Thai Chili or Fujis before. The Thai curry here was very clumpy and not soup like at all. The hibachi was a little bland and didn't really compare to other places. The sushi here is the best they have to offer so far. The Godzilla roll especially was one of the best sushi's I've had in a while. There wasn't too much sauce on the top but just the right amount. The fish inside was just perfect. They also have hot pot and ramen that I have yet to try so hopefully those will pick up the slack for their Thai and hibachi. The waiters are all pretty friendly. They make sure you're taken care of. I think at most you can have about maybe 10 people for parties but I haven't been there enough to say how many you get really fit.

Was really excited to try this place after seeing some pictures online. The experience didn’t quite meet expectations but it wasn’t bad. Portion size is really off in my opinion. The container was 3/4 rice and 1/4 tofu. I don’t eat much rice so I was left pretty hungry afterward. I posted a picture for scale. The quality of the tofu was ok. Just wasn’t very crispy. Ate some fresh and some after getting home. texture was the same both times. The dumplings were pretty good. The spring rolls were pretty solid as well. Sweet potato roll was fine. Overall everything was fine, I just don’t see myself going back.

I've eaten at the Rice Boxx several times before and was generally pleased with the food even though it's a tiny bit annoying that their dine in is still unavailable but that's nothing compared to the attitude and bad business. My wife had ordered over the phone and our bill was already a little steep at about $40 for 1 entree, 1 kids meal, a side of noodles and no drinks. When I arrived, and payed, the girl behind the counter said the correct price but the card swipe said less so I assumed what I was seeing was only part of my order, but since she said that my payment had not been accepted I thought it wasn't a big deal and tried again and it went through. When I got in the car I told my wife she checked the bank account to make sure they didn't charge twice. Not only was it 2 charges, but 2 different amounts adding to ~$70! We immediately called and they tried to tell us there was "nothing" they could do until Tuesday (this was on a Friday) because there was no manager, so we went back and I told them what happened and after arguing with 2 women that didn't speak good English (trying to tell me I would have to wait until Tuesday because their system wasn't working) and 1 cashier that was too young and naivé to figure out what I was saying, a manager with better English came out and explained that they had already cancelled the wrong charge but it would be a day or two until it showed. That sounded fine, until Wednesday when my wife got a call from the restaurant and one of the 2 women that barely spoke English told my wife that we were wrong and they didn't charge us twice, my wife tried to calmly explain to her that the manger had already cancel it the woman argued and said we just...

I have been here several times, all for lunch. If you're looking for an excellent deal for some good sushi at an affordable price, this is a place you gotta try out. I go there and get their "pick any two rolls" lunch and have yet to really be dissatisfied with what I received. I also have gotten their hibachi chicken and was quite surprised by the portion size(large) for the price. Their servers need to do a little better job of handling themselves while not tending to their guests. A few times they can be seen standing in the front area texting or just standing. Not that they don't have good service cause they do, but the standing around tends to give out an unprofessional vibe that is easily off putting. The atmosphere initially was a little too laid back and Americanized featuring modern pop/rap/rock, which I personally enjoy but could tell some customers didn't. They took a step in the right direction goin to ambient instrumental music mostly Chinese in nature with some light American hits. But now they have a mixture of standard "yellow" or "white" lights and random blacklights. Not sure the idea there but is a little different. While they have some steps to take, the bottom line is they have good food at reasonable prices and very friendly service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent Chinese meal. The rest of the stuff they will learn as the restaurant matures and learns. 4 of 5 for now. Certainly 5 of 5 after they work on their minor setbacks. Edit: place has really grown and done very well. Gotta edit the rating to 3/3...

I can’t rave enough about this place. We are in a landlocked area of Tennessee yet they still manage to deliver the most fresh sushi possible. They’re always super kind at the register and on the phone. The food is phenomenal. I go at least once or twice a month and order many rolls of sushi and usually one hot dish. The shrimp lo mein is my favorite, but make sure to ask for a side of rice. That’s how I eat it but maybe you don’t. I like hibachi style instead of Chinese style. It just taste fresher when I’m getting hot items. Their tempura is always on point and they also serve some other Asian dishes besides Chinese and Japanese so explore. They’re already doing the main stays right so if you’re more adventurous then do so. I’m sure if you give them feedback that is negative that they will fix it for you. The family that owns this place is amazing. I’ve been coming since 2008 when I lived here prior. Gone five years and yet the quality and service is still the same. Exemplary. Best Asian food in Chattanooga. I’ve tried all the other ones that pop up even when I lived here before. They are all gone. And to see the support that the neighborhood gave to this family during Covid when people were racist and crap. There’s a reason they’re still in business....
